Car locking/unlocking

I found this video on YouTube from the car show Top Gear aired by BBC in Britain and there is a really cool trick that I've tried (and works) by Jeremy Clarkson does with the car remote.

My main question is this---does anyone know why it works? Everytime I do it, I get a slight headache about 30 seconds later.

yeah i saw that when it aired... still havent tried it out. In the next eppisode they said something to do with the metal fillings in your teeth, but that was so long ago, i can't remember if that was it..

I thought it might be that the electro-magnetic puls from you brain possibly magnifies the signal.

thats because your body conducts like a antanna.
just try a bad signal radio station and grep the antenna the signal will be better.the headace is because: the remote is a low freq signal and some people getting headace from it. it called radio stress

BTW, it works. Ill make a video if you would like. It is completely realistic. I walked about 40 paces away which for my 99 Olds Alero (not a Merc) is stretching it and out of every 2 or 3 clicks it would work so I knew I was about out of range. I then walked another 10-15 paces (about a yard a peice) and voila, wouldnt work. Held it to my head and it worked every time.


No bull, hilarious trick. No headache either. Eyekanfly - I cant believe you dont even understand how it works. As explained, its just like the TV antenna. Your body (especially your brain) creates alot of electric current. Your brain even more so so its quite realistic and yes, it works.

And don't say "well the reason it's not working is b/c they're all Toyotas, and Toyotas don't work" b/c thats a load of BS



Oh yea, forgot to mention: the Top Gear episode DOESN'T SHOW ANYTHING!!! when he puts the remote up to his head, IT STILL DOESN'T WORK! THE LIGHTS DON'T FLASH ON THE CAR! THERE IS NO SOUND FROM THE CAR! but the guy says it worked, even though it didn't.

Yea, there is. Are you blind? Do I need to take that video, capture it, then show you frame by frame?

Its been reduced to youtube quality so not only the audio gets garbled but the video frames get compressed as well.


BTW it could be because they are Toyota. It could be within the remote set itself. Plus, since you are so oblivious and have set out to disprove this, I, along with everyone else should take everything you say with a grain of salt. Untill you have video proof like I do, your word means nothing.

That and you dont even realize that the videos are compressed on YouTube and you can STILL see the lights come on.
