Back on September 29th, I got engaged to my girlfriend of 5 years. Was a long time coming but the wait was well worth it to not only make sure things were right but to grow together and not rush into things.

Cheesy, but free site about us

So, onward to the next chapter in our lives.

The great thing about the site is it completely streamlines the whole "Setting up" process.

Which, indeed, is DAUNTING. Theyve got different templates but its fall, so you gotta represent the best season ever. :D

Anthony,
Hey there! Well, congratulations definitely does not say enough about how wonderful this news is. Lisa and I are rejoicing with you and Rachel -- truly, this is simply wonderful news and the best we have heard in some time. All our best to you both -- hopefully at least I can make it in September.

God bless you both,
Rev TJ and Lisa Conwell

Dirk, don't forget the video tape that we have of edge and GFA, that could be a reason of why he hasn't come out clean with Rachael [:)]

No, TJ wont be marrying us. That honor goes to our youth Leader whos been a huge influence in our lives. Plus, hes a really funny guy and hes spent many years poking fun at us which is how we want the whole day to go - fun, laughter and celebration. We both cant stand the super formal stuff. Its a celebration, not a business affair.

I could not promise to be there, so even I was asked it would be tough to say "yes" and perform it. Besides, in my personal opinion -- the marriage ceremony really ought to be performed by someone that actually knows the folks ... both of them ... and will be there afterwards to continue being a strength and encouragement to them. A trusted friend if you will, someone that has spent real time in prayer with them and has always been a part of their life. A youth pastor, or actual pastor is always the ideal choice.

Besides, if it was me -- I would not be doing any ceremony without at least 4 sessions of pre-marital counseling. That is a MUST in my opinion, and no one gets married with my name on the license unless that happens. It assures me that they are sure, and are prepared for the marriage. Ya know, asking things like: Who is doing the shopping? Cooking? Cleaning? Laundry? Bills? You would be surprised how many newlyweds first fights are over these trivial issues because NO ONE has ever discussed them -- it is just assumed. It is a bad idea to not go over this stuff in advance, in my opinion.

Huge congrats to you Real, I'm willing to bet you two are a great couple and I wish you the best for the future.

And for all its worth, if you need any recommendations for where to have the wedding, my cousin had his wedding at the Tradewinds hotel in St Petersburg, Fl, and it was an absolutely amazing setting and a pretty solid hotel too. [:P]
