OK: I use AOL and...
There is many useless features, but there are many good features too, like virus and adware/spyware protection (the AOLsecurity does a better job than my Norton antivirus)
Also, there is no advertising...it blocks all popups...

To be honest, AOL is a smarter choice than IE or FireFox, because AOL protects the computer, while other programs have to be used to protect the computer from IE (sry I don't know much about FireFox).
And if you wanna put those extra programs on your computer even if you have AOL, then you have double protection! (unless they work against each other, then ur screwed lol)

What I hate about people in general (this is not meant at anybody here, I do it too) is that they critisize things before they even try them. I have used IE, Netscape, and a bunch of really crappy programs that sucked horribly before I converted to AOL. The same thing applies to MAC/PC. I have experience with both, and I like PC better. There are many people who have PCs and say MAC sucks just because of the fact that they have the other one. The same thing applies to Nintendo fanboys who hate Sony (this one pisses me off the most)

yea. well. you need to try firefox dude. it pwns everything. comparing IE to AOL is easy, cuz AOL is better than IE. everything is better than IE. FF pwns AOL. try it out and youll like it.

AOL? Are they still in business? Sigh ...

EKF - We know you use AOL, from Virginia (even thought your profile lies about your location), but more on point: it is too bad you have no idea how bad it actually sucks. Try actually connecting to the web without being forced to use a certain software and you might be able to say something. For example, an open source Linux profile where the browser is not looking for an update every 30 seconds of log-off. However, I do believe it is your mommy and daddy that converted to AOL, and not you because we know you are not paying the bills.

However, even MORE on point: I had AOL years ago, and was having issues (shocking, I know). I called and ripped into them for an hour and I think I even made "Habib" cry when he suggested that I reboot my computer for the third time. However, that is not the issue. For my dis-satisifaction, they offered me 6 months of service for free. Now, why make an offer like that if they are not actually willing to admit that their crap sucks? Then I got to wondering ... how many other people get free stuff because they suck in idiots who do not know any better on a daily basis and can afford to give it away to the smart ones who know they have crap?

AOL's anti-virus is crap. Their web-browsing is crap. And don't even get me started on their patch management. I now use AOL CDs at home as soda/beer coasters because that is all they are good for. Actually, they came in handy one day on the skeet range, but that is a different story.

Sorry RRollergod, but AOL ... meh.

Tconwell, you wasted your breath. It's easily justified like so :

AOL = Crap.

Ps : SFF, was Norton ever good?

Heh Matt ... I thought I would amplify my point -- lest it does not get confused and mis-translated later.

I just downloaded FF 2.0, and one things I did notice with FF is that it doesn't have features on your names, like the glow feature, but that was the case with the original too.

Just shut up -- damn you are a stupid bottle of anus cream. You just do not know when to quit, do you? Got news for you chuff-tard, your count of viruses received is incorrect. You might want to check traffic relating to 152.163.100.***, retard. And while you are at it .... glance at some research on trojan viruses.

wow
Do you enjoy starting internet fights? Seriously
I am an AOL user, and none of you can tell me that my computer has viruses, because it doesn't (well none that do anything anyway).

And oh yea, I know what the trojan does. I got it on my windows 95 when I was using Netscape [xx(]. That was when I started using AOL

Has anything AOL made ever been good?
The only AOL "product" I use is Instant Messanger and with that I use the open source messanger "gaim" rather than their POS software.

and lets face it, no browser is 100% safe, but Opera/Firefox are the best and safest way to surf the web. They are hella lot safer than AOl/IE

Eye ... I got a better idea. Why don't we take this offline. Better yet, why don't you have your mommy or daddy call me so I can tell them what a rotten little SOB you are. Let me know if you want the number, I've got nothing to hide. You are the one who could not it go by bringing up the "viruses received" crap ... just shut that gaping hole in your face and you might actually have a shot at a decent life.

[lol] -- breathing is over-rated. I mean, he is walking around like he has the big diaper ... so, let's get him on the phone (or his parents) and settle this once and for all. Gosh, sometimes I love to see them hide behind a monitor and when it comes to dealing with things in real life, they actually need a diaper. I cite SFF's notes to members who's parents had to write letters. [lol]

AOL sucks, alot. Theres nothing in AOL that you cant get and run normally on your computer and use up less process room and run cleaner.

For instance, I cant even remember the last time I got anything on my computer that Trend Micro didnt take care of. Not to mention Ive used IE for nearly all of time and since IE5 I havent gotten anything more than a single spyware to creep through the crack. Which is obliterated hours later.

I am still suprised AOL is in business.

EyeKanFly - Pwnage? Learn to spell. Well, actually, using the whole "pwn" thing came and went about as fast as AOL.

Matt - if thats his opinion, then isnt what you said a contradiction? Seems like it too me...That or you are being hypocritical because you are telling him what to do and you just complain about him doing that :\

You are asking him to read between the lines and draw a direct link to see the relationship of his comments and his actions. It is too obvious Real .... use smaller words with less brain power involved ... [lol]
