I suppose the thread was lost because of the site being down, but the contest is still on, right? I am trying to get mine finish, but with everything I have to do it will be tough. Here are two screenshots I posted at my NLDC page:

I am almost finished, I just need to connect the track and add the supports. Wish me luck!

I'm quite sure that is the only coaster in the contest with a non-vertical lift. But how the hell are you going to run 6 train on that course?

anyways, i'll upload mine tomorrow if i have the time

Good topic to restart; I've been working on mine in all my free time, which has been quite limited (I'm out of school tomorrow). The trackwork got finished last night, and I believe it illustrates quite well why I don't do steel coasters. Anyhow, I will hopefully be able to support it (and add another train to the circuit, which I hopefully won't forget either), but it's pretty bad nonetheless. Project updates are available as always on nldc.

I am just building as I go, having fun with it. I don't know if it will be fully complete in time because I want to add scenery and stuff. If it isn't then I will just post it after the fact in the exchange. I have alot of baking to do still for Christmas but I will try my best to get it done.

Angela I'm surely excited to see what your track will turn out to be. It is quite strange that you're not going to be using a vertical lift like hyyyper said, but I don't think that would affect judging it.

By the way, on the subject of the REAL EF coming to MOA, does anyone have anymore information on the subject?

I posted a topic about it but the crash of the site got it deleted.

Well it is funny that you mentioned that, because I did some research to see if there were any Gerstlauer coasters with an inclined lift and there are none, so I deleted what I had and started over.[:I] My coaster will have a vertical lift and the layout will be fairly similar to the pictures above. I don't want to get disqualified for my lift hill being wrong.

^there's no rule (that I saw) to say that your ride has to have a vertical lift. In fact, I think it's pretty awesome that yours does not!

Yeah come on Angela! With your inclined lift your track will be completely original. Think of the Orginiality points you'll get! I would agree with Kevin that your first idea would dominate others in creativity. Not trying to put-out other contestants, becuase I've seen screenshots from before the crash, and I just can't wait to download all these entries!

If we post them on the exchange, do we need to also email you a copy? Mine is undergoing a few finishing touches and will be posted soon.

Well I can't restore my computer to the original file, so that layout is gone. It probably wouldn't have worked anyway. Oh well.

Crap, sounds like i've got to work non-stop on the supporting now. Or else i'd have to send in a half-supported ride.

Does the coaster always have to run six trains? Or can it just be capable of it?

And

I forgot, can the station building be outside the template?

Im afraid I won't be able to complete my entry, I've been really busy and never got time to work on it and it hasn't gotten beyond the first drop.
apologies.

I might still be able to finish on time if I can get enough time to work on this tomorrow and sunday. So far I'm not even done with the layout, but I'm at about 1200 feet so I don't have that much further to go (one more inversion and the helix left).
