WWS and SSF, I apologize for the rest of UPS.
Sadly, the standards that our Hub in Toledo Ohio hold up are well, well above the rest of the company. Our goals for packages being misloaded are either at, or above the competition. However, we also handle nearly 10 times more volume a day than either DHL or FedEx both Nationally and Globally.
This first picture is an excerpt from my UPSERS website for employees that has all kinds of work related information. This was posted on Dec 29th and highlights 2 employees from my Work Operation who have gone well above and beyond their requirements. I am proud to have them as my employees and I will be very upset (most likly tomorrow) when I find I will be moving to another operation. Kyle and Rachael put forth the highest effort to make sure everyones packages get to their destination on time. Infact, during the entire holiday season, my entire area only made that mistake 5 times out of some nearly 180,000 packages that we handled in that 5-6 week spread.
This picture is another clip taken from the site in December where it lists the top Shifts/Sorts in the Nation. Notice the Best in Class? Thats ALL THREE SHIFTS at my Hub. We have held that position for several years and the company has noticed. They have moved many of our great leaders to other hubs in the country that need the kind of leadership we have at our disposal. Why are we #1? I dont know. I never thought anything good could come from Toledo, Ohio, but I was wrong.
I work on that Toledo Day Sort. We know that no one else in the company competes with us except the other Sorts in our building.
xfreakx1687 - Please, I hope the attitude you had here does not carry over to UPS. I would be ashamed to have you as one of my employees and while I would try my best to get you to understand a more productive and quality work ethic (along with attitude) if you did screw with me, youd be gone so fast you wouldnt know what hit ya.
This kind of thing really disturbs me. I do take this back to my managers but all we can do is pass it on. We do our part in the company where I work, so you can rest assured I am not part of the problem but rather the solution.
