Hey guys, good to see the site back up so quick
maintaining this site seems to always be one of the admins top priorities, one reason ive stuck with the site for so long.

Anyways, i just thought id post to let everyone know my band got some new recordings up today, theyre sounding pretty good.

you can listen to them at either of the following sites, and they are free downloads on both.

www.myspace.com/throughthebarricade
www.purevolume.com/throughthebaricadega

let me know what you think!
thanks

Not bad, I like some of the breakdowns. However I'd suggest turning up the treble on the guitar amps and also getting a singer that can actualy sing, rather than that wierd growling/shouting kinda crappy metal singing

i must say this is intresting music, the breakdowns are awsome but i would agree with edge you need somone who can sing.

ohh and can we use these, may i use one of these for a video of the meetups next year please?

yeah our bassist sings really well so were gonna have him do some accenting and stuff like that
this is our first recording so were still kind of establishing our sound

yeah you can use them as you please, no approval needed but i would like to see if you end up doing anything with them

If your bass player sings real well, let him be the lead. I mean ... Slayer, The Police, Motorhead ... plenty of bass players sing lead. Forget "accenting" -- you need a vocalist man. Sucky vocals will drive folks out of a club faster than you all being on fire. Take it from me - I have been in bands and the music scene in general for 20 years, and seen all types of crap that just does not work.

Also, looking through your pictures ... um ... I see your drummer has a single pedal. I have been playing drums for 20 plus years and well, there is NO WAY he is doing some of that stuff. I say nonsense to this being your band man (unless that is a pic of the old drummer of course) - but since I am close, perhaps I will make the drive to Atlanta on the 18th. Which one are you again?

yeah but thats not realy what were going for
like, we play alot with bands like Attila, The Murdered, Choked Out, Deaf To Reason, stuff like that, so with the scene around here theres not much singing as far as our kind of music goes, and it doesnt seem to be slowing any of the locals down with their music.

idk where you see that because he's always had a double, and hes getting a new one in a few weeks too. i can go take a picture real fast if youre not convinced, all the bands equipment stays at my house, so its not a problem at all.

i play guitar, im the one with the orange schecter.

Also, you are playing "Central Christian Church" -- With your lyrics? Tell me, who runs that place? Satan? Good grief.

Anyway, good stuff man, nice to see the thrash scene being kept alive.

So nice to see the thrash scene continuing for those who can no longer participate.

just thought id update some stats on my band
we made about an $830 profit this week playing at the masquerade on thursday night, and winning the battle of the bands at a local church last night against 8 other bands.

so id say were doing pretty well.

our drummer got some much needed new equipment including tama's iron cobra double pedal and hi hat stand, a few new cymbals, and a bunch of new heads and hardware.

we should be getting merch soon with our profit from the past few shows, so if anyone wants a shirt or something when we get them ill make sure you get one

oh and if anyone is interested, theres some new pictures and a new video up on our myspace, and probably some more pictures will be added later tonight.
