They can even have inversions even if the G's aren't positive.
Every coaster except SideFriction-coasters have upstop wheels to keep the train from going of the track in a vertical direction.
So if you combined that with the side-friction wheels there is no way a coaster can fly off the track. Taking into account that the coaster should not be broken or damaged.
The only problem you with putting inversions on wooden coasters is that supporting such a feature would cost a lot (in material and $). But then you can always make the loop and it's supports out of steel like they did on Son of Beast.
