Fishing

Is anyone in here a top draw fisherman, or enjoys the odd fish now and again? Wierd concern, but i love fishing i think its great.

I can't wait probibly next week i might go ice fishing Woot!, lol... but yes i like to fish.

I can fish, but I can not stand it! It is so boring to sit there and do nothing while you wait for fish! Sure when somthing comes in it is better but really I do not like it.

Yes, I go on a 2 week fishing/backpacking trip in the mountains every summer.

I like to go fishing too, salt water but I've done fresh water only once before and caught me 3 of these, smallest pictured [:)]

This was a few months ago at 5am down the road from my house. Fishing a sandeel and a 2 oz lead on a 3 way swivel. First cast baby.
Its a 7 pound ballan wrasse i think. Was a beauty.

Then i caught the same fish again on a 28g lure. What a stupid fish.

pfft, sea fishing, bass fishing, what a load of bivi boys you are. now mach fishing theres a game of skill. try fighting a 10lb carp on a 2lb line and doing it for one and a half hours insted of ohh i got a fish now my line is made of wire so it wont break. mach fiushing is for me and i love a lazy day by the lake with my pole, rod, maggots and a cup of tea just bringing in the roach and carp having a contest agaist other guys and baggin up in my keep net 20-30lb. carnt beet the relaxing feeling of the wide outdoors and getting intouch with yourself and just having a good think about stuff you dont need to.

I like Fly Fishing..any kinds of fishing! Really good Northern that we get on our lake up north. Also some great bass fishing!

I gotta say SFF's method of fishing is the way to fish.

BTW anyone with one of those sonar fish detector thingies is an insecure cheating jackrag and nobody will ever love them again.

I once caught a flounder with a crab net. ... yep.....

Carp are easy...They dont fight much and they tire easily.

Try bringing in a 5-6lb Largemouth or Smallmouth Bass on an Ultralight Rod and reel with 6lb test. NOW you have yourself a game. Carp are just lame. Sounds like you fussed with yours just a little too long

BTW - live bait, while sometimes fun, mostly lame

We've tried fly before but never got much luck, Mostly just casting off from the shore with powerbait. Sometimes we take inflatable rafts too.

Yeah, they are fat lazy American carp. Hook a born and bred mirror carp here in the UK and by christ you know about it. I love fishing, mainly for carp but I do love going after Pike and large Perch. I caight a 3lb perch down the river near my house, which is more of a stream and a 4 1/2 lb Chub, I was pleased to say the least

Freshwater bass arnt the hardest to hook on a fish Real. Spinning gear and a Mepp and off you go.
Pike are awesome, they'll bite anything. Fishing a wobble mackeral flapper is the best for Pike, brings out the big ones.
And English Carp fight hard. Especially a Crucian.

You cant beat saltwater though.

BAss aren't hard at all imo. They're lazy, the few ones I've gotten came out without a fish
