1- for $200 onto the price of either 360 package you get an HD player, which is already included in the ps3 and it's price (either way you get $500/$600) and you get a more powerful HD player for the same price with the PS3
2- their cpu speeds are basically the same and doesn't matter how many cores they have yet because no one's programming specifically for either one.
3- the 360 is getting a revision sometime in this new year anyway adding a 120gb hard drive, HDMI for full 1080p output and a 65nm processor as opposed to 90nm making it more efficient in terms of power and thus cooler.
along the lines of the Wii, I really think they could've done a better job if they had just gone to $300 or $350 and made it a little more powerful. I know thats one of the reasons they've always been so popular, but I mean really who wants the same old thing in new packaging? That's also why I feel bad for the millions who buy one and don't realize they're just buying a gimmick gamecube. In fact, at E3, the one's on display were hidden because they were just gamecubes with Wii remote add-ons

Hey pat don't dig on the wii like that, I just got my PS3 like a week ago, and it's definately overrated and overpriced. I have madden and call of duty 3 and I just got bored of those after two hours, and I watched talladega nights on blue ray and thats all I did, needless to say I went back to playing madden and zelda on my Wii. And Gears of war on my 360, needless to say, I still play my wii quite a bit, I think it's awesome! And actually it's been getting much better reviews than the PS3 and 360, and how can you say its a gimmich gamecube, that's a load of bull. I mean I went to Target today they had 23 PS3's in stock, and no Wii's. Noone is buying PS3's anymore, and they've not even been out two months! There overpriced, and Sony is loosing money for every one made. And they wont lower their prices anymore because they would loose more money. But what I have to say is, Wii is by far my favorite, and then Xbox 360. PS3 isn't bad, but it's definately not worth 600 dollars. Nintendo made wii for families that want gaming entertainment without spending a mortgage payment.
