I entered a few competitions on a mini scooter, i won the best trick with a double tail whip over a 10ft juke.
I have a longboard for tearing up the cornish roads, but i much prefer surfing.

I've tried, and failed miserably. The best I've ever done was a 50-50 on a short curb. Other than that, nothing.

I don't really skate anymore, but I still snowboard, which I've been doing for about 9 years now.

I could never get skating. It might be because I'm fat and it makes it harder to balance, I dunno. Snowboarding is fun though; I've only tried it once, but I really want to go again.

I try to skate. I'm not great at tricks, but I can ride a board almost anywhere (my only mode of transportation in LA).
I am also a photographer, and I have some pictures up at www.flickr.com/photos/cola_productions of some of my friends skating.

Does anyone here have any local skateparks worth mentioning? I don't have any great parks, but there a few bad ones around my area.

yeah, around my area there used to be a great indoor park called Commongrounds, but it just closed [:(] and there's an outdoor one at this place called iceland, its pretty good. TONS of street spots within 10 mins of my house. Oh, and an indoor park that's still standing called CBMK. And another one downtown called Shred Central [:D] And...last one...this place called Shell Park, it's awesome, but almost always insanely busy.

^ Wow that sounds like a hell of a lot of fun. I'd love to launch my RC cars of the ramp! As for me, no skatin. I can ride down my driveway, and do a manual for 3 seconds, but thats it. =P
