Truthfully, the Apple iPod Nano is a great product! I, owning one of them, have not experienced too much trouble with it. But even more truthfully, I wouldn't recommend it...I don't know your habits, but IF you're the type of person that does not keep track of things and sometimes loses organization, or finally does not take care of machinery too well, don't get the Nano. It's a slim product, and I've personally witnessed over ten of them being snapped down the middle right at the seam

But I think the Apple iPod products are very high quality. I myself would recommend at highest an Vid iPod...they hold a large quantity of memory, they're quit fat, so breaking is out of the question. Most importantly, it's reliable. Good system to have right there!

the new Nano's are made with aluminum instead of the cheap plastic ones. and I'm the kinda person who has to have every one of his music files have info and be in the right folder, so I'm good on the organization part. in terms of how I handle stuff, I'm pretty careful, but hey we all drop stuff from time to time.

Yes, the New Nanos are great, but I still (new one or not) wouldn't recommend the Nano to someone with reckless habits. Stated, main issues with the new Nanos: (courtesy of this Forum and Webpage > http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/portable-med ... 200982.php )

-Hold button becomes immobile or detaches completely from slide
-Blemishes and dust cannot be removed from finish (?)(Picky people...)
-Battery released from cord-hold
-Scratches when you drop it (haha, I had to post this one X'D)

Overall, any iPod you get will suit you as long as you care for the machine. Don't experiment, that is my highest level of advice for ya, man [;)]
