So today, we were all pretty sure we weren't gonna have school (in the DC Area), but we just found out that we have tomorrow off too. So that makes a 6 day weekend seeing as how we already have off friday and monday. Wow this is great!!!!!!

Anyone else off school from snow?

Believe it or not, I had a 5 day weekend down here in Tejas. We had Monday of for MLK day, and then tuesday and wednesday were cancelled because of weather. Awesone, ain't it? But it does sound pretty bad up there, I talked to my cousins from Annapolis, and they were telling my all about it.

yea north/east of DC is pretty bad. even though there's not supposed to be much of anything else comin through, there's still ice that's gonna fall off trees/ refreeze over night. It's actually kinda dangerous. This one girl got killed because an icey tree fell on her. I was worried about that kinda thing as I was walkin to my friend's house a little while ago, there are icicles and bits of hard snow fallin every once and a while.

Freeeaaken hell you guys are lucky. Even if there is a global catastrophe we would still need to go to class even if there is no lecture hall left.

Well Minnesota has no snow on the ground. All we get is the frickin bitter cold -20 degrees and still school continues...Texas has snow/Minnesota doesn't...hm.

Northern Ohio practically had a "blizzard." They had like 10-12 inches! That's a lot for Ohio. In southern Ohio we had snow and a lot of Freezing rain.

I didn't have school today or yesterday.

you know it's bad when my school cancels morning classes... I got a finals project moved to Friday morning (yes!). However, unlike most schools in Indiana, we never got a whole day off, but getting some time off was remarkable considering this only happens maybe a couple times a decade.

Yeah Kevin, IUPUI had 2 full days of cancellations... well some of the Med students didn't get off but most everyone else did. They probably could have had afternoon classes today because the roads we easily drivable.
