no one should complain gazag. personally i think it is stupid to limit the number of contestants in a contest (unless it starts to get rediculous, ie, over 100). half the people will submit a qualified coaster anyways.

Well, if them two are allowed, Bockzilla should be aswell. He posted in the sign up thread after Woodie Man claimed a spot, but before these two members.

So, is it allowed to use tools(elementary) or not?
And what about the bridge over the water?

so what you're trying to say is you can use the bridge as a support for your track just as long as the bridge in now way whatsoever touches h20? or can you not use the bridge as a support structure?

my theory:

f*** authenticity. I'm not making a coaster suck technically on purpose, even if it costs me points. I'm making a smooth coaster, and one with very non-traditional elements. If it isn't authentic, so be it. It's fun to think of what corkscrew coasters could have been like...

In other news, I was messing around with Elementary and the FVD, but the results have been less than appealing so far. I couldn't even make a vertical loop, for God's sake. I got the shape, but couldn't figure out how to spread the entry and exit tracks apart. Then after trying to program in an original element, I just gave up and went back to hand-building. (This is the last time I complain about Elementary being "the easy way out"...)

Don't worry about it, it's next to impossible to do vertical loops.

EDIT: Gazag, are we allowed to change the texture of the terrain whenever we get to that point?

Will you get less points, if you'll be using prefabs(elements & supports) and tools?

P.S. I'm sorry about these stupid questions, it's just, that I'm for the first time on such a competition.

Check and be sure your in/out speeds are fast enough. If that doesn't solve it, make sure the vertical parts of the loop are white and the top is black. (no rel roll either)

I'm definitely going fantasy with this design. It will have a unique drop and elements farthest away from what you'd see on an Arrow/Vekoma Corkscrew.
1-Millennium Force | 2-Intimidator 305 | 3-Fury 325
4-Skyrush | 5-Iron Rattler | 6-X2 | 7-Kingda Ka
8-Voyage | 9-Maverick | 10-Monster

Im going for the more classic arrow looper feel. I just rode Viper at SFMM a couple weeks ago and I love that ride. Its rough, but in a good way, and the drop is a blast. I cant see making a ride in No Limits using the corkscrew coaster and make it really progressive style like you would make an intamin looper or a floorless coaster.

I am definitely going for a classic style. Arrow all the way. I do not think that doing this coaster any other way does the track type justice. It's an underused track type as it is, and a fantasy style would make it's track type seem irrelevant to me.

EDIT: Take a look at my prelift:P

There's one exchange on the site. There are three categories for upload, none of them being "contest entry"...you do the math [;)]
1-Millennium Force | 2-Intimidator 305 | 3-Fury 325
4-Skyrush | 5-Iron Rattler | 6-X2 | 7-Kingda Ka
8-Voyage | 9-Maverick | 10-Monster

Alright 'stupid German'... [:D]

When your done with your track either e-mail it to gazag (gazag@coastercrazy.com) or just upload it in the exchange with the words "round 1" in the title of your track. Catergories really dont matter.
