Okay so i havent posted here really for a while, but i check the forums now and again, and still get some of my information etc etc

Anyway ive been hearing a few rumours about Fantasy Island being sold from Blue Anchor Leisure and having a big investor come in and develop the park to become a pretty major tourist Attraction. Then there was some news about a huge new Casino being built in Lincolnshire and one of the proposed spots is Fantasy Island, Right in between skeggy and Mablethorpe. So development suddenly seems even more likely. Anyway i heard the parks being sold, so i decided to check it out and this is what i found at Island Quest:

http://www.islandquest.co.uk/news.php?mode=view&id=36

It HAS been sold, but it hasnt been comfirmed who to yet. But anyway its either Butlins (i hope not) or the US Investors (i hope so) who have purchased the park! Both have alot of money to pour into the park, so we should see some new development soon after seeing hardly anything permanant since Vekomas Odyssey which was a HUGE waste of millions when they could have afforded a decent Giant B&M invert instead! [:O]

Anyway i think its good news. FI deserves a good clean up, they have some pretty cool rides and always focus on some intense thrills [:D] PLUS its right near me [:)]

this is massivly excelent news. this park deservs more than it has become.

oddersy was a bit of a waste but it is still not a bad coaster IMO and the milenium coaster is fantastic IMO. i hope this will see the american investor but on the other hand butlins have recognised it as a massive attraction and will pour more money into it. whichever i hope they get rid of the caravan park on its land and make the pricing of the park better than pay per ride.

Eh you can't really blame them for getting the SLC. The mean, from what I've heard the Millennium Roller Coaster was fantastic, so it makes sense to get your next coaster from the same company from the non-enthusiast "OMFGZ ONLY B&M RIDES!" standpoint.

^Jubilee Odyssey looks really fun, and I can't see why it's a waste, but I'll take the word of those who have ventured it. Anyway, if investors are coming into the question to make Fantasy Island a center-of-focus type of amusement park, than that would be a good site to see. I have seen countless pictures of the park, and can only pick out Odyssey and Millennium Roller Coaster as the only spot of interests in that park. Maybe a good Intamin Hyper or Euro-Fighter is just what Fantasy Island needs! Glad to see expansion on any amusement park!

in my eyes its not the big coaster that make the park, its the pure intenceness they put into there rides. the beast for example is the only ride to ever make me feel sick. and they just turn all the rides to full wack and make the rides as fast and forceful as possiable. the indoor is also one of the most beautifl there is and the water coaster they got is the most intence ever. it really is quite an awsome little park but its way way to expensive to stay a whole day

Maybe they'll revert to the overpriced food with a high entrance fee payment system.

that would still be better than ?????????4 per coaster ride and ?????????15 per 10 tokens and all the decent rides are 4 tokens
