Here's an update from my side, i went wednesday:

Image
Imagine the view when it's double as high, currently that turn is about 20m high.

Image
Even on the parking lot it should deliver some really nice shots [:)]

Image
standing next to it gives a nice view of everything in one line [:)]

Image
I think this turn is going to deliver some really nice lateral g's when it's finished

Image
When i went get something the eat on the placemat below there was a small article about it informing the guests [:)]

Image
From the launch of the boosterbike it should deliver also some nice views when it's done [:)]

Image
During the ride it was hard to shoot some pictures since it rained all day [:D]

Image
Can't wait till july! [:D]

Image
From the survival track you'd also get some really nice shots from the track [:)]

XL Version from a little different angle as above [:)]

Image
Those turns are going to be fun!

Image
And as a final shot, the beautyfull helix [pshades]

From close it's really starting to look great, i'll probably check back again in a month [:)]

There we go,

Update 2 March

Quite busy on the site today, a container has arrived with ?????????things?????????, which includes the ?????????dead-man?????????s-point????????? for the big 270-turn. The other big turn is getting lateral bracing. The crossovers on the west side of the lift are nearly done, which also mean the entire track on the west side is quite done. And piles of legs for the first drop have already been spotted.

Enfin, the photo?????????s

The 'dead-man's-point'

Other ?????????things????????? from the container

Almost forgot, they were making a trench

[image]http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/4254/03rn6.jpg[/image]

[image]http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/2813/04rj9.jpg[/image]

Read for take-off?

Yup, lift-off!

[image]http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/6513/06ac7.jpg[/image]

The whole the day long shizty weather, clouds, rain. And the moment you are at Toverland to capture the moment, the sun is ruining my pics.

[image]http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/9899/07ba7.jpg[/image]

It is rather beautifull

Almost...

Rebuilding the lift structure probably shouldn't take long. It didn't take long to build it in the first place, and as long as they have enough lumber it should go pretty fast. The foundation was unharmed. The main problem as I see it was if the lift fell upon something, and damaged that. Depending on the damage, it could take some time cleaning the site, and rebuilding those other sections.

just heard an interview the local radio station had with my boss, she said that it's two weeks..

What actually happend was that the storm rose just as a new leg was being put into place, and there hadn't been enough lateral bars connected yet, or at least not enough, so the last leg fell, and pulled the rest of the lift with it. Nobody and nothing other than some cracked wooden was the result

If GCI wants to do it in a week, they can. Some of the best crews in the business.

It fell over because one of the construction workers touches himself at night.
"Careful man, there's a beverage here!"
