Or, he follows his own rules for once. Just a thought.

Everyone had the rules listed and in an easily accessible spot, and also had several weeks to check them. Especially these people who are turning rides in early shouldn't be let off IMO, as they generally could've tested some more (or asked someone to test) and submitted a little later. If the rules are ambiguous, then I could see some leniency, but not when they're clear in saying something like the ride must not exceed a certain force vector.

"Max G-forces of
5 positive
1.6 negative
1.5 lateral"

"Any breach of these rules will result in the disqualification of your submission."

i shall be following all rules to the detail, HOWEVER! if there isnt 32 tracks at the end of the disqulifications the best from the disqulifications shall go throut to the 2nd round. but dont pin your hopes on it. if you dont follow the rules you will be disqulified.

was just about to say, all these tracks being DQ'ed, ur gonna end up with less than 32 tracks. Supose now that anyone who wants can join, there is bound to be enough to fill all the spaces.

Will u be judging the tracks randomly, or the order they were handed in, when can we expect the results?

I just finished my trackwork, everything is okea, some bumbs, but quitte minor. I was wondering, why is almost everbody building in arrow style? I mean, vekoma's are not always smooth, but their also superb rides.

I've been told my coaster crashes when it E-stops. I need verification of where and when but I will go look myself right now.

Yes, it does, you have to wait till the second train passed the launch, then enable e-stop. You will see the second train crashes into the first one still waiting in the brakes.

I see ish, but thats accually not the true Estop test really, but we will let gazag decide. Dang. All that work I did. All lost because I uploaded the file without the final breaks used. You know, the one on the little hill. One file they were off, one file they were on because I noticed the Estop problem. Thats why I was confused and needed verification because I thought I had corrected it. Man, what I pity. Over the littlest thing.

^that is what i am banking on. my previous attempts need too much work for them, and i simply put dont have enough time for something half decent. its legit...probably not in the spirit of the game, but idc...it *should* make round two. unless maraculously there are 32 valid coasters.

Yea, normally this is the round where if you turn something in, you're on to the next round. But not always, so don't get your hopes up.

Hey, gazag... is the email addy you gave on the first post here correct? I mailed you my track several days ago, but my name isn't on the list of received tracks.

Sent you another email asking if I needed to resend the track, but that hasn't been answered, either.

Just curious.

ragan, you suck! >:p

gazag, this is why in the past I didn't impose so many restricting guidelines on the Round 1 template. G force limitations are a bitch, especially with all of the newer designers in the contest. Also, this is why I have been using 16 as the number of people going to Round 2 for the last two years... because then people have to actually try in order to make it. And PLEASE use the contest-topic template next time... and spell "tournament" right.

Sorry for being such as a** this morning, but seeing ragan's track just pisses me off.

(bleh... anyway, crosses fingers for not having 32 legal tracks)
