The guys are making progress with the parallell turns that'll go under the lift, allmost at the point where they cross-over. Also they have continued placing the 'ties' and 'catwalks' on the places where they didn't have those things

Im not sure if I like the old version or new one better. I kind of liked the double right hand turn that was sort of a stutter step up but well never know. I trust that Jeff made the right decision but its not like ive felt all of his designs were thought out that well.

It's friday again and time for another update,

They guys have started the firts drop, and although they have only put up several legs, the drop is already quite steep and banking is also around 45 degrees or so.

Update friday 20 april 2007

The triple-crossover is nearly done, the little turn from the brakes to the station and the prelift 'S' are also allmost done. The marked some things around the station area and the entrance towers are getting some foundation.

What a day was today. The usual Friday-update, together with a meet-up and a construction tour at the end. I won't be typing a really long story here, just caption the photos.

To start with the horseshoe, which was just over halfway done when we arrived at Toverland.

Image

The horseshoe, is shaped in that way that it?????????ll give pops of airtime on the way up and down.

Image

There goes another bent.

Image

The bent, again.

Image

After after short time is was almost ready to be attatched.

Image

Overview I.

Image

Another bent going up.

Image

And up.

Image

Once a good altitude, it's being guided to the horseshoe.

Image

Horseshoe meet bent. Bent meet horseshoe.

Image

The towers that, at this moment, are about 16 and a half feet high.

Image

Which means that there will be another 10 feet on top of it.

Image

The to-bo-theme-area, from the Boosterbike.

Image

Poles!

Image

Even the technical staff of Toverland is helping out.

Image

The 70-degree-turn is receiving track.

Image

Overview II.

Image

Triple-crossover.

Image

Overview III.

Image

Overview IV from the survivalcourse.

Image

Overview V from the Boosterbike.

Image

Overview VI also from the Boosterbike.

Image

Skyline of Toverland.

Image

Then the tour started. We first got a presentation on Troy. For us coasterfans there wasn't much new, but it was fun for the once who didn't know anything on coasters. Especially when NoLimits was used to show off the ride.
After the presentation we went outside to walk around Troy. Us, coasterfans didn't. Because as soon as the gate opened we were runnen, around, over, under and through the support structure to take pictures.
.

When you walk towards Troy, you?????????ll come across the Tojan Horse. The foundation has been installed.

Image

The Roof

Image

The horseshoe.

Image

The triple-crossover.

Image

Same as above, only from the flytrough.

Image

Entrance of the horseshoe.

Image

Looking back on the 70-degree turn from the crossover.

Image

Entrance of the horseshoe, this time from the track itself.

Image

The drop.

Image

The triple-crossover.

Image

The drop (again).

Image

Under the top of the lifthill.

Image

The outside of the parallelle turns, this one goes from the triple-crossover to the big helix.

Image

Looking upward to the lifthill.

Image

Looking back to the big helix, from underneath the crossover.

Image

The big helix from the inside.

Image

Crossover from the big helix, also from the inside.

Image

Trackshot of the little helix.

Image

Looking from the little helix towards the horseshoe.

Image

Trackshot from the end of the little helix into the brakerun.

Image

Trackshot from the bunnyhop.

Image

Bunnyhop.

Image

Entrance of the little helix.

Image

Trackshot from the lifthill (it is forbidden not to take this picture when you are on the construction site).

Image

Horseshoe.

Image

Horseshoe with a little bunnyhop.

Image

Prelift from the place where the transfertrack will be.

Image

Horseshoe with the prelift on the foreground.

Trackshot of the 70-degree-turn, taken backwards..

Image

Drop.

Image

Big helix.

Image

The outside parallell turn, facing the crossover.

Image

The inside parallell turn, also facing the crossover.

Image

Triple-crossover with on the background the horseshoe.

Image

Drop with 70-degree turn in the foreground.

Image

And then the 30 minutes were over, and a quick snap of the gate/towers.

Image

Not to forget, in ThemeParkReview-style: Troy trough the trees!

Image

Little background info. The first picture of the tour (with the horse?????????s foundation) was taken at 7:49, and the last pic (trough the trees) at 8:18. 40 pictures in half an hour, not bad.
After the tour I decided to take another off-site tour of Troy myself, to make a few twilight-photos.

Troy from the employersentrance.

Image

From the parking.

Image

150 feet to left.

Image

The big helix.

Image

Both helixes.

Image

The little helix and the horseshoe.

Image

Skyline shot.

Image

Behind the lift/bunnyhop.

Image

From here you can see the height of the horseshoe pretty good and think of how dominating it?????????ll be when the horseshoe is done.

Image

Last picture, IMO the horseshoe is already dominating enough.

...I'm curious about that last picture. What in the world are those leaves doing on the shot? They can't just be there, becuase the shadow is cast on the actual photo...

Thanks Dirk some real interesting pictures.
I'de love to see hyyyper put his head through the track like that when its operating, be sure to picture that one.
I love woodie constructions, they're so laid back, like the scribble's on that piece of cardboard nailed to the supports.
You just wouldnt get that on Intamin construction would you!

But really, you guys are lucky. That things shaping like an absolute monster, i might have to get my ass over there one day.
If i do i'll give you lot a shout.
Good pics.
