2007 NL Tournament (Round 1) Rating Requests

Well, what I really want to go into is creative writing, something like novelization, screenwriting, directing, etc. But unfortunately, my college doesn't have anything like that, so I am going into Journalism for the time being. Then once I have earned some money, I'll go to a different school and pursue what I really want to do.

BTW, I'm now officially done with scheduling, so I'll be picking up on the ratings tomorrow afternoon, at about 1. Also, I have both thursday and friday off, so I should be making some significant progress within the next few days.

Yayz. Sorry they don't have a creative writing thing. I'm surprised a general English major wouldn't be more suited towards that. You know the major better than I do so your logic is probably better.

Wow... firstly, kudos to cjd for taking the time to do something he really doesn't have to do.

Secondly, I'm SOOOOOO glad I got knocked out of this "contest" in round one. At the rate this is going, it might be mid-2008 before the 2007 contest gets to round three.

Would anyone else like to host a contest? It's not like we need points or prizes or anything, but it WOULD be nice to compete in a contest where the rules don't change 23 times after the initial post, where folks either make it or not without any major controversy, and where round two happens sometime in the same calendar year as the end of round one.

Who says its going to take 8 months to begin round 2? It will start soon, but I really am wondering when, because it's been a while. Also, why did we change partners, that p*ssed me off.

Also, I am now officially awake, so I'll be starting on today's ratings in about an hour, once I've showered and eaten something.

And I am working on developing a new contest. So once the tournament gets late enough, I'll be submitting it to WWS. He gave me permission already, so it won't be long. It will be one of the biggest non-tournament contests ever, by the way... 3 different templates, and 4 separate challenges.

...and 5 years to complete.

I wouldn't be going this slow if I were the actual judge... the only reason I'm taking my time right now is because I'm under no time constraints, and people aren't waiting on these ratings in order for the next round to start. If I were the official judge, I would be taking this much more seriously.

Anyway, to work I go! Keep checking the front page to see the progress.

no longer "if"... I am working on K-Loop's right now. And my goal for the night is three. And since I'm not doing anything else tonight except watching TV, I might even get to four.

K-Loop, your rating was too big to fit in the slot on the actual track, so I'm PMing it to you. GerstlCrazy, I've started on yours but it might take a few extra minutes since I'm about to eat dinner.

Kudos, CJD. I really appreciate the rate. Best review I've ever seen, and not only was it lengthy for a good long read, but it contained some very helpful information. Again, thank you for taking your own time to help everyone that was upset with the Judge Ratings [;)]

YAY!!! Only four to go till my track!

I suggest that no more folks ask for cjd to rate their tracks from Round 1. This will allow him to do his next contest sooner, which means that we can be enjoying and competing in it while the debacle that is the current contest is still churning on (and on and on and on).

Now, now, don't go thinking that these ratings are changing the timing in any way. I'm probably not going to start making the templates until I'm knocked out of the NL Tournament. And the ratings will be done WAY sooner than that. All that I have done right now is the planning stage. I know what I want to build, the story behind each one, and the challenges each template will present. Don't wait up, though. I'm not interfering with the NL Tournament. It is a sacred ritual IMHO.

By the way, since it's Good Friday, I'm taking the day off from doing ratings and being religious for a change.

I don't know about there, but it's Saturday here...

That was yesterday... I am doing ratings today. I'll be starting in just over an hour.

It's be pretty odd if Good Friday was on a Saturday, wouldn't it Matt?
