Well, about 20 mins ago I got home from my mini 4 day trip to Six Flags Great Adventure and Hershey Park. I gotta say, Great Adventure is an awesome place...Got lotsa pics to post here a bit later. Hershey, well...different story. Not so much luck there. Anyways, here's the report for the few days, starting with Great Adventure:

So, on our first day (Friday)we got off our flight, checked into our hotel )after finding out our hotel was 40 mins away from the park and finding a closer one), and the rest of everything, we got on the road around 2:30. Got into the park at about 6:30, no left turns confused the hell out of us, we all went a bit crazy and drove around aimlessly, missing our exits and stopping to eat at pretty much every fast food place we could find. I really don't know why, but we were all delerious so it was pretty funny!

Ok, so when we got in the park, we got season passes right away because we'd be going there twice and then DL some times during the summer.

Our first ride was Superman, which was the longest line of the entire trip; 10 mins. Almost got on right away, back seats. First coaster of the season was a type of coaster i've never been on before, so it was sweet! Pretzel loop was waay cooler then we all expected, so that was a good start.

After that we went over to Great American Scream Machine, and decided we'd get that side of the park that night and get the rest, plus these again, on Saturday. Sunday was for Hershey. Anyways, it was a total walk on, didn't even stop walking till we got on the train. It was alright, pretty much as we expected. Didn't want a re-ride for the rest of our trip though.

Third ride, El Toro, my new favourite coaster of all time! About 5-10 minute wait, back seat. My god, UNBELIEVABLE!! Airtime was just insane, first drop was sweeeeeeeet! Felt a lot faster then anything else in the park too. Twister section was totally crazy, but can't compare to the first half. The turnaround just got lost in the ride. Re-rode that twice after, both almost walk-ons. Got some pics and video footage of it too. Man, what a ride!!! Bought the on-ride photo too! Here it is...i'm in the back seat, and I have noo idea how my face got all distorted like that! Oh well, enjoy!

After, we went to eat and got some pics and footage of everything on that side of the park. Plus i got to give Tweety props [:)] But after that, it was dark, and we wanted to get Medusa. So we ran over there, and we had about 10 minutes to spare before the park closed at 9. Well, it couldn't have gone any better. Only ones on the train, rerode front and back. Sweeeeeeeeeeeet, bought the photo from here too. Not quite as good as Kraken, but I loved it!

Enjoy the photo: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h119/ ... n-Ride.jpg

That was it for the day, we went back to our hotel and ate lotsa junk in the room[;)] Yeah, we ate a lot that day.

Day 2: Got up bright and early to get to the park by 10, and the park was deserted..The 40 degree weather kept crouds away for both days! First ride of the day, Skull Mountain! The only ride i haven't even heard of until the day before the trip, was quite a nice ride with a cool drop! We were just trying to kill time because Nitro and Batman:The Ride were closed due to cold, so we rerode it 3 times. Cool ride! Very fun, but we saw Nitro running so we went over to it.

Nitro.....One hell of a ride. Makes my top 5, PERFECT floater air the whole way through!! Got 4 rides on it without waiting a minute. The ride ops there let me keep the lapbar (B&M hyper restrains kick ass!) about 5 or 6 inches above my actual lap, and it was insane! My mom thought she was flying out on the first drop. Makes my top 5 rides, and the helix is pooowerful! Loved it! Loved it loved it loved it. Bought the pic on this too!

My mom thought it was like -100 outside, so she wore about 5 shirts, 3 pairs of pants, 3 pairs of gloves, a neckwarmer, a coat and a headband. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h119/ ... Ride-1.jpg

After 4 rides we went over to Batman: The Ride. Walk on, didn't even stop walking to get on. We rode twice in the back, nice G's and pretty fun. The theming was cool, not very much but I liked it anyways.

after 2 rides on Batman, since Batman and Robin wasn't running, (Batman was missing track and it was too cold for Robin) we went back over to Toro. Two rides on it, just as sweet as the first in the back, and then rode in the front....WOOOAAAHHH. Man, just insane. Can't describe how much I love this thing! But we saw Kingda Ka was testing, so we dashed over there quickly after our front seat ride.

Kingda Ka...10 minute wait, front row. I must say, Intamin OTSR's are really comfy! Anywho, after Dragster a bunch of times at CP, this wasn't like the most unbelievable thing ever, especially since there's almost no build up, but it was totally crazy. I loved it so much, the speed in the front and the height was just AH! So sweet. After a front seat ride, my eyes felt like they had chlorine in them. Bought the pic here too. I tried to open my mouth, but couldn't close it...air just opened it even more. The wind just inflated my sisters face thought, take a look and feel free to photoshop!

After that, we went down to Superman once again, this time expecting the awesomeness of the pretzel. Pretty sweet, got back seat again. I love flyers [:D]

I'll add more to this a bit later, including pics and the Hershey report. Check back later!

Glad you had a good time there!

I haven't been to Hershey Park in many years. Can't wait to hear about that trip.

Ok, continuing the report!

After Superman and a bit of loafing around, we decided to leave the park for a little while and come back after some rest. When I say we, I mean my mom and sister. Ug! I forced them back out of our hotel room after about a half hour of relaxing, because I was 100% sure if I didn't they would've fallen asleep and missed the rest of the day, and yeah...Not gonna let that happen!

We got back to the park and went directly to Toro, because Kingda Ka was down, alright, doesn't matter, we went down to Toro! Woo! Best ride ever [:)] We rode that 3 times, 2 of them being walkons, and decided we wanted to get a night ride on Nitro, and by the time we left Toro, the sun was setting. So to kill time before it got dark, we stopped off at Rolling Thunder (walk on, sucked ass!) and left quickly because of the suckiness. Kableh. Medusa for a last ride. Only ones on the train (just like the 2 rides the day before) and we rode in the back! Awesome ride...loved it.

We headed over to Nitro for the last rides of the day. We got there, and saw there was only one other person in the station. Awesome! We got into the front seats, and man...Front and back are insanely different. I was really shocked by how much of a difference there was. But before i continue, I need to note that on the first normal airhill leading into the turnaround, at night, all you see is stars....Really beautiful, and then right after, you just pass the peak and dive towards this black forest. No signs of light anywhere, and we were the only ones on the train, and woah, so eerie and cool. Loved that part so much!

Once we got back, reride! To the back this time, such a great ride, couldn't get enough of it. After that, one more in the back. The one other guy was still on with us, so we started talking to him. After the third ride, my mom and sis decided they wanted to leave because of the cold...3 rides on Nitro in about 33 degree weather, they were freezing. But i wanted one more ride, and the dude who was on with us before yelled for one more. So i ran back on to the front with him, and they came back. Hehe. What a way to finish the day, and our time at the park. On the way out, I also convinced my mom to stop at Wendy's for a Frosty. Mmmm!

Hershey TR!

The next day (Sunday) we got up bright and early at 6:30 so we could pack, eat, and drive down to Hershey. All that took about 4 hours to do, and then by the time we got to the park and checked in to our hotel (the Hershey Lodge) it was 10:30. So we had a good, smooth start to the day! That would change pretty soon though...But for now, it was pretty good. WE got into the park, and everything smelled like chocolate! Everywhere! Walking chocolate bars, chocolate mooshi's, and ah...What a theme, chocolate[:)] We got a picture with a kit-kat too!

First ride was comet, about 25 minute wait, and it was just a nice, enjoyable ride, with a great view of Great Bears' whacked out supports over the river! So cool! Had to get a picture of those too! Anyways, after Comet, we moved over to Storm Runner...We were a bit worried though, we haden't seen anything else run all day.

We got there. Storm Runner: Closed. Too cold.

Headed over to Great Bear: Closed. Too cold.

Went to Lightning Racer: Closed. Too cold.

Wildcat...: Closed. Too cold.

We gave up and went on the kissing tower, so we could at least look at the rides from high up. I hated that, SR was right there, looked great, and couldn't ride it because of a few degrees. Fantastic. We went on Sooper Dooper Looper, and yeah, makes my bottom 10 rides. Bleh. At least had some more views of the wacky supports!

We left the park and figuered that by 3 or 4, it would have warmed up at least a bit.. But of course, the park closed at 6, so it would be rushed. We got back to the hotel, and my mom and sister fell asleep right away. I left the room with my stepdad to go swimming, but I forgot my bathing suit back at home. I went back to the room to listen to my Ipod and wait for them to wake up. Left it in the car, so I went and got my stepdad and he gave me they keys to the car. So I got it, listened to one song, and pulled out the camera. Started taking funny videos of my mom and sis saying random stuff while sleeping.

They slept for 3 hours, and I had nothing to do. I sat around and called the park a few times to see if anything was running. By 4, nothing. They said there was no hope. I gave up, and woke up my mom and sis at 5:30. My stepdad finished swimming by then, and we went to Chocolate World, the museum by the park, because we had nothing better to do. We were informed it closed at 7, so all was good. We got there at 6, and yeah. Closed at 6. We went back.

Early this morning (Monday) we left our hotel early to catch our flight, back at Laguardia, NY. Lotsa driving ahead. On top of missing Storm Runner, Great Bear, Lightning Racer and Wildcat, we happened to drive straight through Dorney Park. Horrible! Just looking at everything there made me go all *rrrrrrrrrrrrrrg!* That sucked. Then we got to the airport, after hours of traffic in NY. A bit of time to spare, got another frosty from Wendy's! MM,mm.

Got on the plane, tiny, tiny plane....one side could fit two people, the other could fit 1. I sat behind the one dude who put his chair back. After that it was fine, got our luggage, came home, saw my dog, fed the fish, all is good! But yeah, the last 2 days bummed me out. But still, can't forget about Jersey, even though we did get escorted by the police for accidentally driving into the parking lot instead of the drop off!

Whatever, it was a great trip with awesome memories...HOPEFULLY I can get back to Hershey sometime soon, but I don't know. But oh well, that's the report!

Too bad about Hersheys. Same thing happened to me when I visited Mt. Olympus, with everything closed because of the rain. luckily, in my case it reopened.

Glad to see you Americans are finally able to enjoy some Intamin wooden madness![:)] Nothing like it!
Coaster count: 153
Moving to Singapore in july!

I feel so unbelievably sorry for you mate.
Unlucky. Storm Runner looks fantastic.
We do get a few bars of Hershey chocolate over here but it just tasted like sick, Oreo's are lovely though =].
Nice to see you had fun in Jersey though.
Sorry again dude.

Yeah, it sucked! But now, on my next CP trip, we're discussing returning to Hershey, Dorney, Kings Island, and possibly Holiday World. That should be awesome, as long as it's not 1 degree and it all happens again [:)]
