I say you work on this for another 9 months, and then be all "April Fools!"
Nope, not any April Fools with that! Just a severe misconception (so it seems) in handling the job. While we do read above:
"The only two things we need to figure out..." Ahemmm: "only"???
it better had been stated as:
"The two *crucial* things we still *badly* need to figure out...
I see this project failing for a very simple reason: It's entirely useless to start programming anything, unless each and any required algorithm is available, is well understood, and all the algorithm's formulations already have been transformed into programmable data structures.
Then, and only then(!) you would want to start writing your first line of code. At that point, you might still not yet want to officially announce any plans on your coding, since the risks of failing the target still are there, and heavy at that.
I do smell that you are now taking a painfull lesson. The above issues have been in discussion for way too long already. Announcements have been made, while just these two *crucial* parts of your program are obviously still out of your reach!
And since I personally have solved both of these particular issues in question long ago, I am able to tell you that you are facing some really tough challenge. There are no books, no wikis, no online-publications on these algorithms! It's your very own job to steer clear on that.
Again: No April Fools! Just whitnessing some conceptual disaster.
Good luck, honestly, nevertheless... [redsmoke]
