There's been alot of crap about this! You guys, Maverick is still going to push the limits of excitement, it's only opening about a month later! Get a grip, because it will still be a great ride, regardless of debut date.

I'm 'lol' at the fact that the heartline roll is most likely being removed...

It has to do with your post because a removed roll = not as great, average ride IMO.

Boardwalk Bullet is where it's at anyways :P.

Does anyone know if the heartline roll will be modified or removed?

No one knows at this point. Check this link that memberjack provided

:: http://www.crainscleveland.com/apps/pbc ... ofile=1096 ::

Exact Words: "It might be. It could be. A decision hasn?????????t been made yet. I have not heard what plans there might be to correct it..."

I myself really have no clue what the problem is in the first place and what they have to 'correct'. Is it just too powerful a force given at the area?

Dude, not all of us live close to the Point. Some might have planned a trip in May, which is the only one for the rest of the year, like me. So no, i'll complain all i want!

But ah, PLEASE don't get rid of the heartline! Nooo no no no no no!

I'm willing to bet that there is just a right to left transiton there! (ex: 80* to -80*) I always had worries about that dog darn roll...

I read somehwere that they're getting new track, so I bet there's a change. There's not much room to extend the roll there...they're modifying 3 track peices, not the entire section.

Aw, man... that was my favorite part to look at when I went there at Halloween. That roll was so tight and fast it was scary. I'll miss it.

BTW, I might be going after all. Bayou decided not to hire me, but I've got a position at Famous Dave's pending.

Wow, I totally called it that the roll just wouldnt work out, You can't do a roll that tight, that fast... they needed to expand it or remove it.

I am now officially going to work at CP again. I just got a position at Famous Dave's, so I'll be WWS.com's eyes and ears about what's going on at the construction site.

Jr. Gemini didn't have any problems!

All they need to do with that is have the turn raise up into a very low 0g roll and that would solve a lot of the problems.

Obviously the heartline roll isn't too tight or too quick, or Intamin wouldn't have designed it like that. My guess is that the "stress" it causes the trains is just too much for a corporate park to handle. The stress probably would result in higher cost of train upkeep, and they would rather ruin a ride than shelling out the extra $.

Corporate parks suck.

I don't think it was very well placed. I mean, such a quick element placed AFTER the 70mph launch at the bottom of a hill... it should've been where the track goes under the drop/ over the launch. at least there you've got some more room and it goes up so it's not as fast

well you can't really tell from those pics, they were each taken from the same spot and on top of that they're pretty crappy. also, the theming doesn't have to be done when it opens (sheikra still had a buncha construction crap around it when it first opened).

What?

Oh well, just wait until it's done...You can't say it's nothing like it, there are canyons, there's that old fence around the horseshoe roll, the station's the same. Wait till it's finished, go see it in person, and then see what you think.

I am going on opening day and sunday, I will take pics.

^I worded that terribly wrong I ment... "I know the scenery is not the reason it is opening late. Thats why I said 'Besides what?????????s going on...' to show that I did not relate the scenery to the opening date"

The heartline roll is to tight and quick.
read the folowing artical:
"Screamscape sources have given us a little more information about what exactly is wrong with the heartline roll. If the rumors are true the G-force tests spiked between 6-7 G?????????s during the heartline roll, making the experience a little too intense. To solve the problem they had been dialing down the launch speed out of tunnel, but to get the G-forces in check the train barely had enough momentum to complete the run and was running a high risk of valleying in the second half. So at this point it seems they have no choice but to wait for the new track to arrive that will reign in the G-forces in the heartline roll."

The only person how have ride maverick (a intamin worker) discriped the heartline roll as a extreme rough and a unplessend experience.

If you saw the POV (which most of you have of course), you'll notice trim brakes right after the turn out of the tunnel, something I find very strange when they could've modified the launch speed. For the heartline roll, it seems like theres enough track between the element to make adjustments to it to lower the forces; they just seemed to pack it too close together a bit.

That doesn't make any sense, due to the fact that heartline rolls don't pull vertical gs. The only way the heartline roll could possibly pull 6-7 gs is if the g-forces weren't measured from the heartline, and there would be no point in doing that besides to measure stress on the train and/or track.
