^Well, since two points only exist one line, then at least one node or support goes out.

BTW, since my track's supports barely stay in, and it needs lateral bracing to be realistic, and the forces are already high, do I need lateral bracing?

^ Umm, duh? Of course you need lateral bracing. Imagine Voyage without lat. bracing.

On a different note. I am also working on this contest though I am NOT officially signing up. More of a take your time and see what happens kind of thing.

^ Well, on that note, I will drop out, but I will still make a track out of it, just that it breaks some of the rules.

Sorry, but the template was too small and the rules to hard for me to build a quality track.

All right! A GG wood contest, and it lasts for a whole month! Count me in! I can squeeze that in with my CP workload now that I finally have my internet working.

Surprisingly, I have the basic layout done. It needs G-fixes, transition fixes, smoothing, and supports. I may have it done in a week or a little more, not sure.

Scrapped my ride in case any one wants to use it, it breaks the boundaries though.

The first half of my coaste looks like this:
Top view: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/i28794
Side view: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/i28795
Front view: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/i28796

I think I'll name it: Shapeless pile of wooden track, that stays within the boundries! <- What a pretty name, don't you think?

Though I don't know, how I will fit the lateral bracing into the small space. How much will the rating be lovered for not making all the needed laterall bracing?

I meant at the corner. It's an irregularly shaped template, so it would be possible to have a beam crossing there, with both nodes still inside the line. Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter since Hyper already said it's not possible. Too bad....

Hmm, can it be over 105' or exactly?

This was quite hard, I got the layout done and my biggest enemy is tunnel testing.

Wow, really? Tunnel testing? My clearances are perfect, its just that I will have to figure out the lift hill. Every other part on the ride can have lateral bracing alright, then lift hill is my only obstacle this entire competition so far.

Finally completed the layout. Just abit of smoothing on the final helix, all the supporting and i'm sorted :D

Length and some initial tunnel testing were the hardest things for me.

Look at some real life woodies, not all lifts have a lot of lateral bracing.

^Yeah El Toro only has bracing on the left side, and I believe Hades, The Voyage, and Balder have none at all.

Here's mine so far:

It's pretty smooth, just a few simple kinks to work out before I expand more.
And I have enough room for decent lateral bracing.

However you are correct in saying El Toro is only braced on one side.

El Toro is the only one I got right becuase Gadv is my home park XD

Heres my progess, as you can probably guess from the screen, tunnel test is a B***H, t really looks more like a GCI :

...the tunnels are square for woodies....
is nothing allowed in the tunnels for a tunnel test?
Tunnels go out farther than needed for a test
or
am i wrong about the definition for a tunnel test?

Tunnel Test is putting the entire track into a tunnel, and seeing if anything portrudes the limits in which could potentially harm a rider should they decided to raise their hands or is exceptionally tall. Whether or not you got the definition right defeats me as your post makes no sense, however if your tunnel testing a woodie, convert it to steel first, and then test. The steel tracks have a more realistic limit with their tunnels.
