^Yeah, I don't care anymore. It looks like the best in the park by a longshot anyway.

I hate how CP-fanboys treat every new ride they get as if it is made out of solid gold. Maverick will be no different I'm sure. Even if the ride ends up lacking in terms of overall experience, Cedar Point's overinflated reputation alone will propel Maverick to legendary proportions.

Maybe it's distorted by the banking, or need for banking to keep the heartline intact.

The straight section the trim is on not shown in those pics just seems odd.

Coasterkrazy, I don't care, it looks like a sweet ride. I'm sure if it was being built at BGE you'd be pretty damn excited too.

Sure I would be excited, wouldn't be in my Top 5 coasters either.

I dunno, I can't really say till I ride. But IMO, it totally looks like the best at CP.

Looks like the best coaster at CP to me too, mostly because the majority of the park's coasters range from sh*tty to average. In fact, I can't think of one above average coaster there besides Millennium Force.

Man, I love Wicked Twister, Dragster and Raptor so much. Dragster, despite all the people who say it sucks, is something I won't experiance anywhere else. Even if it is 17 seconds!

Well, yeah [lol] But it's just not the same. Just the build up and location of it (right in the middle of everything) with the dragster noises, and seeing the other trains zoom past you walking down the midway makes it for me.

Oh, HAPPY 1000 POSTS TO ME! [:D][pshades][lol]

I agree with Canadmos and CKrazy. Gemini was on the top three fave rides at CP. Raptor at close #1, followed by Magnum, and Gemini!
1-Millennium Force | 2-Intimidator 305 | 3-Fury 325
4-Skyrush | 5-Iron Rattler | 6-X2 | 7-Kingda Ka
8-Voyage | 9-Maverick | 10-Monster

My top 3 are Millennium at #1, Raptor at #2 and Wicked Twister at #3. Gemini was a huge disappointment on my trip, but I don't really like the ride itself that much unless both sides are running.

And happy birthday GerstlCrazy!!![blah]

Im SO suprised that IF would even think MF is up there...ride bores me to death these days. Its utter lack of GForces after the first 5 seconds is amazing. Its almost, dare I say it, Togo-esque in the huge swooping turns and large valleys followed by hills with far too large radii.

Seriously, if they had released the ride with the s-turn from the beginning, ya'll would've been like "OMGZ! Crazy s-turn!"

Thank you CGuy for the Happy Birthday

And thank you Real for seeing Millennium Force for what it is. I hate that ride. Way too locked in. No air, no exciting pulls. Nada.

I agree with the whole "MF is just a huge coaster with oversized elements and goes fast" opinion that many have, but everything just seems to come together to equal more than the lackluster ride it appears to be. It's by no means a world-class ride, I just enjoy it a lot. Top 10 steel coaster probably for me, but not top 5.

I haven't been to CP though in four years, so my opinion of Raptor being a sub par B&M may change.

Pretty cool how they have to make use of the original footers.

Man, I don't see how anyone can honestly say they don't enjoy MF. I mean, I don't care if it doesnt have as much action as S:ROS but it DEFINATELY is just kickass. Any coaster that goes that fast, in my mind, is crazy fun.

And YAY for track!
