hah, I accually laughed at that. Good job[lol][:p]

Yeah my lift hill is fixed. Also, the supports are planned to be only lateral on the left side of the life hill. And I do plan on getting full and fair technical points; because it is perfectly realistic. Although, I'll have to look that up, because were doing GG and if all of theirs have lateral bracing, then I guess it is unrealistic for a GG and I am out of luck.

Really, the bracing itself isn't important as the track style. They wouldn't design their rides around the supports, they would fit the track within the space and then design the supports to be sufficient.

My track is 3/4 done. There are some kinks that I'll be working on, but overall it's smooth enough to get most of the tech points. I've been paying attention to supports as well and it seems I will have minimum work to do because my layout allows most of the supports to go well into each other already. I've got lots of airtime variations and fun intense lats, too. Woot. oh, and no wheel hits. :D

I figured I'd show some working screen shots of my model. I am having the hardest time getting it super smooth but I guess I will fix that before june 15th. I am trying really hard to capture the essence of gravity group but being that I have never ridden one of their coasters im at a lost lol...enjoy!

Wow, my lift hill banking is at least 60 degrees lol. Also I can't make custom supports so what would the most GG style one be in the wood magic support generator?

For the tunnel test, it's alright if two tunnels intersect, but no track is in either one, and I remove both of the tunnels for the final product, right? And you said change it to a steel coaster and then tunnel test it if I rememeber right

I hate to be the asker of all the annoying questions, but I wondered what you consider "tunnel intrusions", since the railings definitely end up inside the tunnels. I'm assuming that at least the railings are ok, but I was wondering if a beam which is BEHIND the railing is considered to be too close?

I would think that as long as it doesn't breach into the area of a non-edited walkways it should be fine, and probably light intrusions along the top. Probably better to be safe than sorry, though.

I'm doing all the expanding supports custom, I'm just using autosupports to preview how it will look.

Btw, bicoastalkid, your ride looks great!

SCORE. Track is as done as it's gonna get. Long enough, green Gs, and NO WHEEL HITS.

On the matter of tunneltesting, everything that belongs to the track the tunnel is from (catwalks, ties, handrails) is allowed. If the track, catwalk, handrail or support from another section of the track then the tunnel is from, it'll be a tunnel hit

even tho the wood tunnels are square and all other tunnels are round @ the top...
if there is some track in a tunnel from below that DOES NOT a/effect the ride, i think that should be fine as well as some track going thru a corner of the top of the tunnel. wood tunnels are also wide enough to have those large pieces of wood that have the track on it. Wood tunnels are wide and should allow special kinds of tunnel hits
why am i saying this?
duh

hey, hyyyper, I've got to drop out; I got through the first 2000 ft of track but ran out of time before drum corps began. It took me longer to pack than I had anticipated, so no more time for coasters.

I'll see you again in August!

When you say steel tunnel, you mean 1.5 tunnels and not the massive 1.6 tunnels? Othwerwise I don't understand the logic behind deducting points for anything in the tunnel that doesn't intrude beyond the hand rail. I can understand anything going into the top, but I think if the handrail is allowed to come that far, why shouldn't a support?

Indeed, the 1.5 steel tunnels will be used. And handrails don't come that far
