Kinzel said a flyer will never be at CP. He also said he will not deal with Intamin again - which means no more Intamin woodie. This has been quoted from CoasterCon.

He also said dive machine was not out of the question if I recall correctly.

^Exactly what I was going to say. I think that would be a nice fit for CP.

Dive Machine hmm? If so, knowing Cedar Point, it will probably be the tallest, fastest and longest dive machine.

I did read a quote from Kinzel somewhere that said ?????????Top Thrill Dragster is the worst business decision we've ever made?????????. Which probably explains the no more Intamin part? But that's going to suck big time! If you think about it Cedar Point is like the ultimate Intamin Park.

A dive coaster would be nice. I just got back from Busch Gardens Europe and I rode Griffon. It was amazing, lot more than I expected, its 205FT high. I could see CP going to push as high as they can go.

i see CP as the park that would do something spectacular with a dive machine, like a barrel roll, or a full looping

I hope they get rid of DT (as unlikely as that may be) and get permission to build on a small part of the beach. I think a nice little CCI could fit into that space.

Even though its not likely i'd like to see a b&m with a floor. Kinda like wild fire or the new led zepplien ride. or a floorless with only 1 or 2 inversions. Thats what i diden't like about medusa. It was inversion after inversion. If they can't pull that off a gci or premier might be nice.
Trim breaks are your enemy, retracking/smoothing is your friend. I miss b&m floored sit downs. coaster count=39

Yeah, that could fit into the DT/beach space too. So many great things can fit there, but they probably won't take it out, or they might in a LONG time. I don't really see much space for a new coaster anywhere else...except the parking lot [;)]

I hope you ment GG or GCI or something, as CCI no longer exists. Too bad, Ya'll would go nuts over a NMR at CP :P. Too bad CP will like never get a wooden coaster while Kinzel is around.

Ohh wow, I'm always the last to know these kinds of things [lol] Maybe eventually some kind of really compact GG, like Boardwalk Bullet. But during the near future, I can see GerstlCrazy's idea of a Euro-Fighter fitting in nicely.

I can't recall where I heard it, but some Cedar Point newsletter was pointing out the fact that they may bring the parking lot somewhere off the peninsula (like at the entrance of the roadstrip to the park) run the guests to and from the park by tram, and turn the parking lot into some nice grounds for more additions. It'd give them alot of room too...

A thing called competition will keep Cedar Point from demolishing their coasters any time soon. My guess would be that they'd want to get their count up to about 20 before they start to replace the coasters. Which in turn makes the "move the parking lot off the peninsula" concept an even better idea...

Yeah, that's what I thought. Plus, nothing would sink if they built on the parking lot[:D]

^ Wouldn't it be cool if they put like an Aqua Trax off the peninsula into the water a little? Ultimate water interaction!

just lock this topic before I shoot myself, but for some that would be a good thing.

I would also like to see a Euro-Fighter, but I don't see it being built as their next coaster. Maybe two or three coasters down the line. With Maverick just being built, and having the 95* drop, a Euro-Fighter would take Maverick's glory. The only solution to a Euro-Fighter coming next would be if it had a drop like GersltCrazy's African Bananas.

I also think a Dive Machine could work at CP sometime in the future. The problem is again the drop. If you think about it, and all of these designs were put in, CP would have four coasters with 90* or more drop. I think that would be overkill on the vertical+ drops.

My other coaster types that I might see working at CP would be either a Screamin Squirrel or a Gerstlauer Spinner. The SS would work if they could get rid of Demon Drop. The Spinning coaster could possibly work as well in the DD space, but some remodeling around the area would need to be done. Maybe CP could actually make a Family based Spinner [;)]
