Hey, I've just got a ton of inspiration lately after a long long drought of nothingness. I dunno what to say, I guess a picture says a thousand words, so TaaDaa!-
It looks like it has some nice terrain-play, SFMM. Clearly it will pick up the extra speed after the first flatlanded section of turns, and it also looks like it will keep that pacing throughout those hills.
The pacing is out of this world! lol. I dont want to be boasting, because that isnt what this is like. Its like I dont even know what is coming next, My hands are working by themselves and Im just watching it go...
The rides going great! Everyone who is testing tells me the pacing is pretty good. Ive been trying to maked a mountainside ride like this for years (just ask SMer) and i've finally hit the pacing right on the button. Heres some pics of the latest turnaround as the ride heads towards its final section. Voyage/GCI twisty dive inspiration apparent:
So with all the trackwork done I've begun the massive part of building I like to call 'supporting'. I've got all the catwalk/handrail customizing done. Now I'm working on the crossovers, then last will be the lateral bracing.
Final Specs:
Max speed- 48mph
Vertical height change- 118 ft
Moment of Air- 25
Total Lenth- 4330 ft
Total ride time- 2:03
hmm very good so far, I too am in the middle of a gigantic dry spell, i've been working on the mirage contest. That is crap so far. I'm about ready to give up. How do you get out of a dry spell? Oh well. Nice job either way. It looks very smooth with a great layout. Can't wait for it!
Well... I have no idea. I'm still running really dry. My situation is that I've got all these REALLY cool overall ideas for rides, like "I want a ride that has this kind of footprint about this big with this theme and these elements". But when It comes down it actually building, I cant think of an exact layout. I'm always too hard on myself too, nothing ever satisfies me. So for this ride I've just let it all go, and im just trying to go wherever the track takes itself, and not be such a perfectionist.
I only hope you get a lot of trees in there. I can see you with a Raven or Voyage like experience simply because of how little you can actually see when you're in the trees.
I will get a good ammount of trees in. I would like to use one of those enviroments that makes the trees huge. Does anyone have one they would let me use?
I don't know what your '3ds experience' is like, but if you wanted to, you could use the beams from my WhirlWind or Guillotine tracks to beef up the looks of your crossbeams. Or if you can make your own, even better. I think custom 3ds cross beams make wooden coasters in NL even more realistic.
Yea I've make steel crossbeams for previous coasters (I think I had them on Falcon). For this ride there are just SOOO many places with complex beams I'm going to leave it out and just use the NL steel.
ps. I like to think im pretty good with 3ds. I've got this ride that just needs some final station touches, then it can be released. http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p2629
I'm not a great fan of woodies but yours looks extremely funny.
I have an amazing Volumetric Sunset env.but the problem is that I can't remember who created it...maybe Real...
