Works started for a new thrilling coaster based on the model of THUNDER DOLPHIN.
It reaches a height of 68m and includes steep drops and fast turns.
My intention is to give a great airtime combined with many underground tunneled parts.

Not sure if you're doing a straight drop from there but your pullover at the top of the lift seems a little small for an Intamin. Check that out and consider revising if it's not right. In boca al lupo :)

Only one square set of supports is needed every 15 ties on that hill, instead of putting two sets adjoining each other.

Dont try to sound smarter than you are. He is using support sets that are longer than they are wide, and they are perfectly fine as is.

^ It is just that MF and others use perfect square columns.

Yeah, and Thunder Dolphin's lift supports look like this: http://rcdb.com/ig1845.htm?picture=37

I think it's pretty save to leave his supports as is considering how different Intamin's lift supports can be. As long as it looks structurally sound, it's most likely fine as far as we know.

The drop looks better, not sure if it's the angle or if you changed a lot. Make sure the radius of the pullover doesn't tighten before increasing... it should be straight for the lift, then tighten to a circular section, then widen for the leadout of the pullover. Looks pretty good though, I like the concept and look forward to see you pull it off.

An update for layout:the bottom of the first drop is sweetly banked at -20????????? to permit to enter a wide snake dive.
Consider that I have to heartline everything when it's done!

It looks great! Different from your last couple of coasters. Your originality was starting to fade. 3ds is looking good to.

It sounds strange but I think STORM RUNNER's flying snake dive is one of the most beautiful element ever created!
Here in GOTCHA there won't be any inversion BUT highly banked turns and I'm trying to create different snake dives to make the ride more exciting.
For this reason I made some changes to the layout to enhance speed, smoothness and airtime:I think mega coasters play with these elements!
Until now the result is quite satisfying but there is an intense element which I like particularly:at the speed of 123km/h you enter a 128?????????banking to reach the top of a hill with a funny loss of weight.
At the moment lat g's are around 1.3...too much! This was the best I could do at that speed but I think after having heartlined it,it will be better.

First test for that element with the AHG:it enters at +1g and goes out at -0.7g.It's taken from first right seat.
The other positions have lower values.

After a blackout I lost this coaster but I realized that I had already the buildings.
So I decided to re-build it!
I chose another name:SILVER COMET
Layout is complete and I started support work.

I respect your determination Barone. Had my computer failed and brought my designs with it, I'd've given up entirely...[lol] I look forward to this one.
