Hey everyone, it's been just about 6 months since I've really done anything with NL, but now I've discovered the wonderful world of FVDs, so I've been feeling a little more creative lately. I decided to start out with a rocket coaster, since I still can't really link up 2 FVD elements together very well.
I still don't have a name for it , but it starts with a 230 foot top hat which I used the HSAK for. After that is a 3000 foot FVD run back to the station. I don't want to show too much of the layout before I release it, but I have a few pictures. I guess this post is really just to give myself some motivation to finish the supports soon, now that I've advertised the ride, hopefully I'll have it up by sunday.[:p]

Oh, also, what does anyone think of the colors? I can't decide if I like them or not.

Your colours are Xcelleripoff. :) Tone down the orange, make it closer to yellow than red, and it won't look so similar.

First of all, it's a color scheme, so it doesn't really matter too much. Second, who cares if it's remotely close to another coaster? Tons of color schemes are similar to other coasters out there... I doubt ANYONE could make a color scheme that isn't somewhat similar to one of the other 5000+ coasters existing in the world. Third, I preferred the old color scheme, though you should really go by what YOU like the most, not what makes others happy. It's your coaster.

If he goes with something that makes everybody unhappy, he might get downrated for it. *gasp* And yes, that's stupid, but I've seen it done. As for the colors, yea, the older ones were better. Xcelleripoff or not, doesn't matter.

The track looks pretty cool so far. Though, is it going to be longer or will it be short and spiffy like Xcelerator?

I know colors don't really matter but whatever, I'll probably switch back or maybe change them completely. As for length, it's about 3500 feet long, a little longer than Storm Runner.

I thought the original colors were good, the new colors are just like Goliath.

Xcelerator is more of a faded red. The old colors were more of a goliath look. Excited for the ride though, your rides always seem to please.

Yeah that is just you, Calaway. I really liked that shade of red, guitarplayer, and personally I think you should've kept it.

But likably colored or not, the ride looks good. I'm impressed with the shape of the tophat. Looks hot and very precise...don't see too much of that on Intamin Rockets designed with tophats around here.

4-Skyrush | 5-Iron Rattler | 6-X2 | 7-Kingda Ka

You don't see many with top hats because for a good amount of time they were considered too cliche and people got downrated for using them.

Thanks for the comments guys, I've gone back to the original colors and I think I'm sticking with them now. I know the top hat thing is a little cliche, but I figured it was a nice realistic way to start a rocket like this. I don't really like bragging about my rides at all, but I feel like I nailed the top hat shaping here, and the G's seem to match up with what I remember Stealth being like, so I'll be interested to hear what you guys think when I post it.

Dang, this week will be intense. The battle between Humdinger, this rocket, and Tempest will be a blood bath.
