Whenever I download I try to rate someone track, I feel it is common courtesy. Whenever someone downloads, I feel they should do the same, even if it's not that great give them even a comment and give some tips, does anyone feel that people just ignore track because it wasn't they're favorite (if it is tell 'em, if not, share why) i think there is a shortage of good (if even that) raters. Anyone else see this problem???

No, dont encourage quick meaningless rates.

i'm not, i saying take the time to rate, give a few words and a rate, give a comment, give anything at all.

It's hard to give good quick rates. When I rate I usually take very long time and look for all of the problems that I need to. You can't drop a good constructive rate with multiple sections and comments in a minute or two.

Ugh, if you don't have time to give a rate you're lying through your teeth right there. I gave Garrett his rate for Disarray in about twenty minutes. Every rate I give is as thorough as I can make it. And every rate I give is to somebody I feel will truly take my advice and better from it. Too many times I've given lengthy rates and the person doesn't listen to anything I have to say.

The top designers usually don't rate at all, or they just rate other top designers tracks. This should change, those who are better in no limits should help other to get better.

i agree, the whole purpose of posting tracks on this site (for me) is so other generous people will tell me how i can improve and help me along, i realize meaningless rates are no good, but atleast a comment telling me all the areas i can improve on would be nice.

Biggest heartburn here is that when folks have to rate n00b coasters, we usually end up having to write a novel. And well, sometimes it just gets old having to say the same old things over and over. Although, I think people should attempt to rate rides now and then, and not like this:
