Sharks

I have a question. What is your take on sharks? Do you wanna protect them?[^] Do you hate em and think there mindless man eaters?[:(!] or do you not know enough about them that you do not have an answer?[?] Tell me if you have any questions about sharks plz also include those with your answer.[:D]

I dont like, nor do I hate them. They are a part of our world and killing them will only destroy the world faster.

I have sharks with laser beams attached to their heads as pets.

I don't like them, but I don't see that as a reason to kill them. One of the main reasons people get attacked anyways is that we invade their habitat or we just annoy the hell outta them.[:p]

ok jakizle. your not funny and I agree with you other two. Did you know that an average of 1 million sharks are killed each year compared to an average of 4 people killed by sharks each year. I do agree that we shouldn't kill them because if they die out our whole eco system will crush.

Well I love sharks. I was just interested on what people had to say about them. I watch Shark week every year so I can learn more about these amazing animals.

I watch shark week as well and I have not decided on what I believe because each documentary has different theories and very reliable sources.

Sorry but I could care less about sharks...i'd rather discuss Austin Powers.

That's rather dumb. They play the same damn programs every year, and sometimes every day that week. In the past three years I've seen one new episode on shark week. It's pretty friggin' lame.

I do like sharks though. I think they are a magnificent creature, and they are delicious. But the way that they are being treated right now is pretty rediculous. There's not much we can do about it though. The ocean is a big place and fishing boats aren't going to be caught very easily if they do man handle one of these creatures.

okaaay..just because theyre on tv like the teletubbies doesn't mean their meat doesn't taste good. i mean, are you just watching the shark thing on tv, or are you like a sharkologist posing as a gullible kid on the internet?

lol Iron Man when you consider the percentage of people here who would watch the same coaster show over and over I don't think watching shark week seems as dumb. Lighten up guy.

Oh you reminded me of something Iron Man. Has anyone else ever had alligator tail? It is soooo delicious. I do like alligators though, because they tatse good. I don't know how a shark tastes.

my mom used to cook it in soup because it was relatively inexpensive,. it ahs kind of a chewy texture, but some flavor. it's seafood, but not fish..
and for the record i think it would do well to farm the species we can, and lower our consumption of the ones that are more or less "endangered", but by no means is it disgusting to eat sharks..

^^Alligator tail is awesome!! I ate it a while ago, but totally remembre it. Delicious!

Yeah, and thank you for crushing our eco system by eating cow, pig and chicken, too. I would imagine even more of those are killed and eaten than shark.

I do love sharks however, and I'm not one of the people who thinks they're mindless killers who eat people just for the hell of it. They are amazing creatures, and maybe if we didn't look so much like sea lions to them, then maybe we wouldn't get eaten by them! People will never learn not to be sea lion like...[V]

I think many sharks are killed needlessly (like dolphins and sea turtles) when they get unwittingly snagged in some gigantic net bigger than a football field. Often times these fishersmen are looking for other fish and have no use for the sharks. We also have places like China to blame, though. They fish many sharks for their dorsal fins that are used to make sharks fin soup. Often times they dispose of the rest of the carcass though, which is a colossal waste. Maybe people should farm them and have a re-release progam or something.

and they are delicious. but there's only one place in the world where you can eat it, and it ain't cheap! i doubt i'll ever eat it again.
