Sometimes (not very often) a coaster is created by more than one person, or by two people equally or in a group.

A massive argument usually always occurs when deciding whose name the coaster should be uploaded under.

I am therefore asking WWS / asking for suggestions as to how maybe there can be an option for recognising a group upload better?

For the screenshot, just put both names in big and obviously. Or include both names in title (ex. Orbital..)

Yes but hes talking about how a group coaster can only be added to one persons username really, without having to upload two versions.... meaning that only one person gets the rate, and the medal, and the real recognition for the track.

I think anyway.. =]

Well if anyone is so obsessed with getting attention and recognition of a group/pair design that they would get in a hassle about who's to upload it, than I think they're taking the exchange thing a little too seriously...

Just create another account using both usernames as the new username. Such as "member a/member b", "member a-member b", or "member a and member b"... you get the idea.

I'm just saying that there should be a way of displaying the joint track in your own "My Tracks" section and it should be in the proper name of the track.

I dont think its that big of a deal. If its in the description, track info and the screenshot, are you that vain that you gotta have a link somewhere else?

Ive got 2 or 3 coasters - that did quite well - that I did trackwork or 3ds for and someone else took the "glory". Oh, I mean they got a little JPG file that looks like a gold medal.

I think its kind of...selfish. If you cant be content with those other 3 ways of recognition maybe you should just do the project yourself and avoid the issue all together?

But I think it isn't that hard for WWS to make one or 2 HELPER-bars where you can put names of the people who helped you building... So they can get the medals too...
Cause, let's be honest, everyone wants to get a gold building medal, doesn't he?

The person who gets the medal could just donate points the the others, I think that would be fair. Just let whoever did the majority of the work upload the ride.

well since i do the medals if you do a joint coaster and state it in the screen shot i shall give you both the same amount of points if you get a medal position.

however it would be alot of hassle to code for joint coaster naming so just upload it under one of your groups names and ill make shure its recognised by the both or however many of you there are recipients of respect for it
Making screams come true

And gazag brings up the other point - the code for joint naming. Its just silly.

But I would still digress that some rides cant be split down the middle if you are going to get picky. I just say its not that big of a deal and learn to be more humble and take pride in letting someone else take the glory.

^ I agree with that. Don't worry so much about medals and such. Just enjoy the fun of building something with another member. I've done that a few times, and it's really a lot of fun. I know that I really enjoyed working on Orbital with Pym several years ago, and we became really good friends in the process. Kind of similar, I also uploaded a coaster to the scrap yard at NLDC and a user named Popcorn at coastersims took it over and uploaded it. While we didn't work on it together, it was really cool seeing the ideas he came up with on something that I originally started. That's the whole purpose of working on coasters with others.. not who gets the shiny medal.

Exactly. And besides, [most of] the coaster exchange sites are much more than designing to be the best. Just about having fun, making friends, and helping eachother to get better at designing...

Why wouldn't anyone want a gold medal if it's free?
