Anyone following the news that's surrounding Honduras lately? Looks like President Zelaya, a leftist, was trying to edit the constitution so he could stay in power a bit longer and also wanted to merge on with Venezuela's President, Hugo Chavez. So Zelaya went into a hissy fit and fired some general or high ranking officer yesterday which then organized a state hit, you know, take over the presidency with internal military force, and they captured the president and threw him out the country into Costa Rica. All in the weeeee hours of today.

What do you think about this? Is latin American going ape into leftist mode and trying to bite the hand that feeds them?

Yeah I was talking to one of my friends from Honduras (I used to live there) and he was pretty disturbed about the whole thing. Apparently Roberto Micheletty Bain is the new president now.
