[lol] I just had to do it.

To Thelimitsfreak: Try to take some time with you?????????re rides. I usually spend months on end with a coaster and I believe most of us here also do. If you post some pictures you might just realize with the advice you?????????re going to receive that we are a bunch of freaking perfectionists. Many things should be taken into account when building a rollercoaster; methods even differ from track style. I would suggest some research on how forces work etc?????????

Does this mean you haven't even started on the coaster yet?? At least have something started before you go making topics for advertising. Also, you might want to spend more than 20 minutes on your next track, try a couple weeks, or even a month or more. Listen to the people who are trying to help you here, they know what they're talking about.

I finished it after 24 hours of working then 20 minutes fixing the baddest g force which was the sprial lift so i took it out still a little over the edge g force but only twice i think so please leave a nice comment when i upload!

Enjoy the Ride [:D]

I wrote this here because comments won't allow me to right such a big reply.

Alright. I see that you are trying to improve. I would prefer reading this tremendous reply in depth because I'm going to say this once and only once.

I've said before that we are a bunch of perfectionists but I'll have to disagree with my own statement. We are seriously passionate when it comes to Roller Coasters and we try to build stunningly realistic designs to reflect this in Nolimits.

Don't worry if you feel like nobody likes you?????????re coasters. If people give you crap just turn the other cheek, you are young and might have a lot to learn on this topic. I've said that it would be a good idea to do some research on coasters and physics.

Firstly I would like to point out why it is necessary for the lift hill to be straight. A chain held steady can only by pulled up and down, if you try to bend it side ways the links stops each other from moving. If you have a bicycle chain nearby try it out. Yes, it is possible to bend it sideways over long distances but imagine the wear and tear maintenance costs you?????????re going to get. A cable can bend but the catch car that grabs hold of the chain can't. Therefore all cable and chain lift hills should look like this:

Front / back view:

Brakes and the station should also be straight.

Fin brakes grabs hold of a fin attached to the cars between the track and the train. If the train is turning these fins are at an ever changing angle while the brakes are kept stiffly on the track and will result in mechanical parts flying all over the world if trying to grab a turning train. They look like this in reality:

Think about it like this; any section where the train attaches itself to the something that is attached to the track should be straight except the wheels obviously. This includes magnetic brakes and LIM launches as well. Magnetic brakes however can also change angle relative to the ground. Think Stealth and King da Ka.

The rest of the track should preferably never be straight. [:D]

G force is a main problem on you?????????re rides and I would prefer that you go and do excessive research on it before you build another coaster. Forces are the things that make a coaster fun. Forces should change, give negatives and push the riders into there seats but unfortunately the human body can only withstand a certain amount of this. Look at this pic for example:

Image

Can you see that that the bottom curve is way larger in radius than the hill crests? This is because we don't want to kill our riders i.e. raters. As you go down the trains speed increases and the acceleration forces relative to the X, Y, Z axis increases numerically around turns and hills. This is due to inertia. Any object in the universe wants to be in rest or in straight line motion. A force is required to accelerate, decelerate or turn such an object. So when you?????????re on a roller coaster train going around a helix, the train pushes you towards the center of the helix. But you?????????re body wants to go straight, therefore you feel like you?????????re body is being pushed away from the turn.

There is also a force pulling anything on earth towards the center of our planet called gravity. This is exactly equal to 1 G and accelerates things downwards at 9.81 m/s Squared therefore if you want to calculate you?????????re weight. Multiply you?????????re mass in kg with 9.81 and there you go, you?????????re weight in Newton.

A single, changing force is what you would feel on a coaster; this is called the result of the forces at work. Which mainly includes gravity and well you?????????re acceleration forces in the coaster. The resultant force is the sum of all the forces (But remember that direction is also a key factor). Therefore if you design a flouter hill, the force should be equal to ?????????1 + 1 = 0 where the +1 part is gravity doing its job and it's always there. Even if you are banked 90 deg in a straight line you would get 1 lateral G relative to the rider.

I would prefer the max forces as follows:

Vert +5G & -1.4G
Lat +1.5 & -1.5
Acc +2.5G & -1.5G

Well put DJ... Follow that then we can seriously rate your rides.

if the brake/lim catches a fin underneath the train the brake/lim can be bent upward. If the brake/lim catches the you can make a flat turn. It's possible
