musicians?

anyone in here play instruments.

for those who do remember me, i dropped off the coaster world for about two years to endeavor into music. my guitar became my life. i now play guitar, bass, keyboard, and anything i can really get my hands into, and plan on going to college for music. i've been in a few bands and stuff, but nothing to serious, but i want to change that once i get into college

anyone else around here play anything?

I started a thread a while ago about this...I play violin, (which means possibly viola), and piano.

I can play the piano and keyboard. And I can pick up any beat for any song with my hands. so I guess you can count that as the drums right?

I've played piano for about 11 years now... I do mostly jazz with some other random things. I'm not that great but I enjoy sightreading pieces a lot. I also play euphonium, which falls in between tuba and baritone in the brass world. I'm a two-year veteran of the Glassmen drum & bugle corps, so that's where I do most of my playing. I can (and have) picked up other instruments for fun, such as trombone and percussion, but those are my two "principle" instruments, if you will. Of course, I'm a mechanical engineer so music remains just a hobby, though a very fun one.

I play guitar, 6 string mainly, but since it broke, I'm stuck with my 7 string. I also play a lot with my microkorg.

I want to be in a band, but, everyone in my area has creative differences.

I've played drums for at least 7 years, but that's it. I play in a band but I kinda wish I was more passionate about it.

If I could learn another instrument it would probably be bass guitar.

anyway for now im just writing stuff for myself, a few friends that go to college less then an hour away from me and live around here plan on doing something next spring or summer, but were starting the writing process now, basically sending midi's and guitar pro files back and forth. were going for a drop tuned hardcore/metalcore/whatever you want to call it kinda sound, similar to august burns red, parkway drive, exc..

i play guitar, started almost four years ago, im running a schecter c-1 elite (which i just installed a killswitch in [:D]), a mesa dual rect. solo head and a mesa 4x12" rect. cab

sweet, im running a schecter c1 plus through a randall g3 200 watt 2x12 right now, saving up for a peavey 5150 or a mesa, but that'll be down the road a bit.

I play Trumpet, I am studding Music Education at University of Akron...

Come to me in about 4 years and I will be able to play anything in a high school bands instrumental repertoire. Only because its required.

Bass for about 8 years now. Been in a couple bands but not too serious, but now of days just play random dance parties with a drummer friend of mine.
Also play guitar and synth (hells ya for the microkorg).

I've played guitar for quite awhile now. I'd consider myself decent. I could play a lot more songs though if I took the time to finish learning songs.

I'd also like to take lessons and learn the "Music Theory" a little better and create more of my own work.

I play bass for about a year i just started playing tabs i really diden't play much because i coulden't find anything and it diden't intrest me and then my friend got my intrest started back up and now i can play the intro to getting away with murder and i can play this almost entirely.

the only thing i can "play" that anyone would recognize is "mary had a little lamb" on the keyboard. the concept of how well one can play" (insert shizty mc shredrock tune here)" being a measure of their skill is not my idea of creativity, but i do admire people who can actually "play" ... but i've recorded hours upon hours of layer after layer first on old tascam fourtracks, then on cubase and as of late mostly with pro tools le. i also enjoy circuit bending.. heres a couple of my t.i. speaks, and an sk1 modded with a 16 point patchbay

electric bass, drums, singing, guitar, upright bass, piano, tuba, trumpet, clarinet, cello, so on and so forth,,,i play alot and i'm really good at all of them...especially electric bass and upright.

I play guitar, drums, bass, stringed instruments I can get used to fast. I am looking to learn to play piano/keyboards next.

I have a Schecter C-1 Hellraiser, a Yamaha CK700 12 NT, and an Aria which I do not know the model of. I play in a jazz band at school, I have gotten into Michael Hedges recently, and am starting to learn songs of his, they are awesome. On my electric I have been practicing to be like Stanley Jordan, with some good progress, but he is still light years ahead of me, or any other guitar players I know personally.

i like stanley jordan.. beleive it or not george benson is also great guitarist.. too bad he decide to go solo and start singing..

also just picked up a cheap marshall bass amp and a old yamaha keyboard.

^ you need some new basses,,,fender sucks sooo bad, they are the most uncomfortable anti-versatile bass out there. there playability sucks worse than any bass i have ever played. get a warwick or specter and burn your fender bass, it doesn't deserve to exist (despite how many great bassist use a fender they still suck)

Guitar (quite good), drums (good), piano (best), flute (not as well as the rest, but it's OK), keyboard (Like piano, but then you have to do a few more things like suddenly switching style or so), violin (worst), electric guitar (not as well as accoustic guitar, but well, it's OK), singing (A BIT) and sometimes I do few background things like triangle, sambashakes, that kind of stuff... Oh yeah, and some mixing too...

the fender is a 67 bass, and the ovation is like a 72, plus i got them for free so im not complaning. i wouldn't ever really spend money on bass equipment, i mainly stick to guitar.
