I was 9 when I went on Millennium Force. 300 feet is very high for being such a small kid. In the end the ride was a huge turn-off so I've gotten over myself...

I used to be scared of going on nearly everything...Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Kumba, Montu...but now I'm better, thank God. I still get the occasional butterflies in my stomach (Griffon), but I'll ride anything.

I was scared when i was like 7, but now all i get scared on are extreme launched coasters (AKA Hypersonic), or rides like griffon.

First coaster i thought i was going to die.
Second time round i was 100 percent confident.
Never been scared on one since.
I wish i was though, seriously.

I rode my first coaster at age 6...a racing coaster at Euclid Beach Park. It was a very mild ride without any stomach wrenching dips.

I didn't ride a "big" coaster until I was 12. It was the BIG Dipper at Geauga Lake. I rode it to avoid intimidation. I refused to have the shortest girl in my class make me look like an idiot. She combed her hair straight-up to make herself look taller and they let her on!

Until that day, I had to see an entire ride from one vantage point, beginning to end. There was nothing more terrifying than seeing a full coaster disappear over a hill, listening to the screams and track noise, and not knowing what happen to the riders. (duh, LOL) I also wouldn't ride anything that went upside. Eventually, I rode the Rock-O-Planes.

7 or 8 years old- kumba, just couldn't ride it for some reason, but its really what started my love for coasters. The turns, elements, pacing, forces, everything, it was just the best thing ever i thought, and was my favorite coaster for a very long time.

Scared? No. Nervous? Yes.

Ideally you should NOT be scared. Whats to be scared of? Your chances of dieing or even being hurt are in the billions. Youve got a better chance being in a car accident like 10 times between your house and the park. You are going no where - so the fear is in your head.

Everyone has been scared on their first coaster because you were young and stupid. Anyone who voted "no" is a damned liar.

^its valid if you cant remember your first coaster. Plus I know a few kids who went on their first one and RAN into line and while maybe they had some, showed no fear. Some kids are young and stupid and cant comprehend the possible bad outcomes as well.

I was terrified my first ride on Mindbender, while 145 feet may seem small, I live in Western Canada, and I don't have much confrontation with coasters.
