Got any frozen peas Slap? You can always do like the people used to do when nobody had air conditioning and put some ice in front of your fan to blow the cool air across at you.

edit. please, no one blame this on global warming.

I was flipping past the channels and came to the end of the race there in Fontana Cali and Jr. got out of the car and all he could say was how hot it was and how exhausted he was. He looked very red and about ready to pass out too. I couldnt figure out why it was so hot - it was like 9:30pm their time untill they showed a shot of a thermometer near the track peaking over 120 for all the ambient heat.

Thats HOT. Sorry for you guys down there...we finally got some BEAUTIFUL fall weather this weekend. Highs of 70, cool crisp breeze and clear skies in northern ohio. It rocked.

I watched that race real...the heat was insane and one driver even measured the heat inside his car to be in excess of 230 degrees! Jr needs to get in better shape though, Jimmie and Carl Edwards climbed out of their cars lookin' perfectly fine [;)].

Luckily it has been very cool in Texas, and we have had a ton of rain.

I have been in SoCal, and it's actually better there in AZ, for sure. Have you been in AZ 30 straight days in 110+?

I have and it's pretty bad. Honestly though, some days dropped a bit below 110 but not that far.

[rambling somewhat related story to the heat and sun]
During the day I spend as much time inside as possible. I burn easily and all that good stuff. Their is a gas station on the corner which I go to daily, always after the sun falls. Usually get a Coke for a $1.49. Today, I went in the morning with my friend Dane. My other friend Barry was working. he stared at me blindly the entire time I was there. He didn't say "hey Shane" or anything like he usually did. I get my Coke and go to the counter to pay. First thing to come out of his mouth was, "You do know the sun is out right?"
[/rambling somewhat related story to the heat and sun]

Well, it was funny at the time. The heat and sun are my enemy this time of year. Really anywhere its bad though. Even on my Cedar Point trip this year. Arizona and Ohio are two way different states. Still got burned, and the humidity which I wasn't use to really caught me by surprise. Although their was maybe a 20 degree difference it felt the same.

It isn't so bad today in California, well at least where I'm at, althought it's still early. We get the worse of it around 3pm. I'll let you know if I am cooking by then [lol]
