Im thinking more along the lines of a vertical life then a vertical launch, and whatever it is, those water slides are gone, and im guessing they'll get rebuilt over in the waterpark" in the future

I bet Hershey never thought the coaster communities would figure this out so quick.

Yeah, im expecting an Intamin 10 inversion coasters still. Odviously, the water slides will be gone, and im sure the room will be there for a coaster similar to colossus.

alright, no double post because this is a day later, but this is my full take on the thing.

#1. The water slides are gone, thats a give.
#2. That area is open for a layout style ride, if they get rid of the pavillions back there, which im sure Hershey wouldn't be to hesitant to get rid of them. If they have that kind of a layout space, i'd expet a Colossus style ride.
#3. lets look at that picture, that looks like ether a launced into a vertical ride or a vertical lift. Im hoping it isn't just an american version of those Gerslauter rides. I mean, it'd be hard to have alot of speed and force with a one train ride (http://www.rcdb.com/id2163.htm) Scary thing is tho that the layout looks kinda like one of those things.
#4. im really hoping intamin is ether designing their own, or this will be some type of a station launch like hypersonic xlc, but designed by intamin. I also really wouldn't get the point of a launched ride, if they have Storm Runner already. Not saying that this will be a bad ride or anything, but i still love the anticipation of going up lift hills.

I dont know if i should believe that one image that was freeze-framed and flipped. i mean that could be the layout, or it could not be. we really do not know. I just cant wait till we do know.

There's nothing wrong with 'em. I think there need to be more of them.

^Calaway, is your avatar the Mac with the whole hard drive/tower in the larger-sized monitor? I've seen one of those; absolutely wicked...

i haven't ever ridden one so i shouldn't criticize them, but i just haven't heard any rave reviews about any ether. I'd still love to see a hyper coaster go behind wildcat and down toward lightning racer, that's exactly what hershey needs.

EDIT: i just read online that they expect it to be a medium sized Intamin coaster (121 ft. tall)

"It's just a rumor right now, but we've heard that the 2008 project may be bigger in size that we had previously guessed. If the latest rumors are true, we?????????re not looking at a Mouse coaster, but a new medium sized Intamin coaster (121 feet tall) with several inversions (including a Cobra Roll) that will take over the old Chute Out slide location, stretching from here over to the Wildcat."

That puzzle picture looks exactly like the one I posted earlier...it's just from a different angle. Also, I imagine that's just a crappy rendition of Intamin box track, that is all. It still has the vertical lift + drop too.

still, i dont know if small trains can pull as much force. I cant speak tho, look at maverick. I just hope it turns out good.

yea, i was guessing it would be a tower launch coaster (or whatever there called) like ianko6 said.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

Force is not generally affected by train size, at least not in the way you seem to imply. Keep in mind, the tiny Wildcat at Cedar Point, with it's single cars, pulls the same amount or more g's than Millennium Force, with 9 cars. It's all about how the ride is designed, and generally not the train length.

I'm just saying throwing a 9 car train on a Storm Runner tophat wouldn't work because the front seat and back seat forces would vary a ton.
