I read the replies here and saw several people state "he didnt do anything wrong"

Watch the video again, the police attempted to escort the man out of the area and he refused several times. The police where correct in the amount of force used at each given time.
1) non threatning body contact- place hands on arms to escort

After the man pulled away the force level increases.
2) Body contact- pulling to escort a direction.

The man continues to pull away more violently.
3) Non leathal force - Taser, Baton, OC Spray.

I wish this kid would try disrespecting the authorities in a different country and see what he would get. So dont complain for him, he deserved what he got if not more. If his parents raised him to respect others he would never been in this situation to begin with. Another example why timeout in the corner does not work!

him being an idiot isn't a reason to arrest him for me. If something similar would happen in France there would be sanctions for the police officers...

he wasn't apprehended for asking a question, he gets apprehended when he starts to appear unpredictable to police who have in their care a senator from one of our united states, not to mention one who is not too popular in that part of the country, college or not. i think the police were rather patient with him.

I have no sympathy for people who swear at police or something stupid like that and then get nightsticked in the face. That cop might have to put his life on the line to save your dumb ass, don't piss him off.

It wasn't his idiocricy that got him tasered, it was his refusal to cooperate.

Edit: I found it. First this guy could be anyone and probably a liar. But let's suppose that what he said is true. The guy just wanted to have his little moment of fame and he didn't deserve to be took away by force and then tasered, the fact that they arrested him created a panic reaction and he couldn't calm down. They could have took him out gently without panic and then they wouldn't had to taser him...

this "disturb the peace" thing must be really American cause I don't understand to which situation it refers. And as I can see in the comments over Youtube, all non US users don't approve of the police reaction so I guess it is really a matter of cultural differences...

The guy was asked to leave nej77. If you where the guest speaker and some idiot did this while you where doing a speech your question would be "What took the police so long to escort him out?"

Any public place including resturants, concert halls, shopping malls, etc have the right to remove anyone who they feel disrupts the others trying to attend. Refusal to leave can lead to charges of Trespassing, not to include Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Arrest. Notice the applause from the crowd when the police subdue him?

apparently he had been bugging for awhile, and the police finally let him ask his question, that's why thery were already standing behind him when he started to talk.trust me, the police don't do this for no reason most of the time. this was surely NOT for no reason.

Boy am I glad that I don't live in the US... but still this is very disturbing.

Can anyone explain why the police thought the guy should leave the room? Kerry wanted to hear his question and he was telling the question. What was wrong about that?

Anybody with common sense would know that they should be on their best behavior at an event involving a political figure. Security is on edge due to all the things that could possibly happen. Apparently, this guy doesn't have any common sense.

Anybody with common sense would believe that there's nothing to be afraid of when just asking questions - especially if you ask a politician after he had you asking in the first place.

Apparently, Kev, you lack common sense and can't answer a simple question.
