I had picked up my Limited Edition right after work about 10 minutes before they closed. No camping out for me. I just gotta hope my 360 comes back soon before people ruin the whole plot to me.

People keep screaming about how he dies. So I don't know if that's actually the case or if they're just assholes. Either way I'm gonna stop looking at any major Halo forum since people are just going to try and ruin the game.

I got to the EB games by my house at 11 and they started letting people in to get there coppies at 12. By then I think there was around 100 people. I ended up haveing to wait till 1 to get it. Thought that the campaign was good more like the first one. Didnt really get to play much multiplayer, but what I had played so far was fun.
Go chuff yourself and have a nice day! :D

it is I've been playing the same profile on burnout 3 for 52hours ( total play time not at once XD) and I still don't have everything done. CoasterkidWMV is right though The flood is just a cheap rip off of Head Crab zomibies fro mthe Half life series (which totally owns halo FTW)

Okay, let me set some things straight.

Real: Marathon is AWESOME; I played it on the same computer you did.

Jer: Burnout 3 for 52 hours played is because you try the same race over and over and over to get a gold, and it gets boring in my opinion. That can take hours... hence 52 hours played.

CalawayPark, Jer, and ANY others saying "It sucks" or "It is a bad game": Stop using direct statements. Use personal pronoun opinions such as 'I think it sucks' or 'In my opinion, it's a bad game'. I personally am not a fan of the game, but I do not say it's a bad game. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it a bad game. If you say "It sucks", you truly are wrong. There is a reason why it took so long to develop and why it is such a HUGELY popular game. The developers MAKE it a good game. They cannot please everyone; some may not like it, but it is not a bad quality game.

There's no need to be so hostile man.

Now to respond to that:
I don't think 6 hours is enough gameplay time. A good game will usually give you at least 10 hours of gameplay. Think of it like a novel-based movie; the bigger the novel, the harder it is to portray it well within a reasonable run time. I do see why you'd think that though. Halo3 is relatively short but it does have a really good multiplayer side, so it kinda makes up for it, especially if that's all you play.

"I think" it's an overhyped money machine game which is nothing better than 90 percent of the shooters out there, but it's good apparently because it's halo.

Using it that way (Thank you for the pronoun opinion[;)]), I would agree with you. But, I still don't think the game itself is bad quality nor does it "suck", it just doesn't appeal to me.

I don't think it's bad quality as in production values, I just think they don't even try to make something out of this world simply because they know it will make them money... Halo 3 could've sucked and been the worst game ever made and they would've made millions because of preorders and first-day-buyers.

Honestly, most games these days borrow themes from movies or much older games. Sadly there isn't a whole lot one can do about that. However the issue of creativity in the overall design of the product must be brought into question. Its happened to Disney over the years of artists making characters that have a passing resemblance to established Disney characters, or even artists claiming they initially drew it and Disney stole from them. Its the creative process as their is no such thing as an original idea in design anymore.

Parallels can be established between the aesthetic looks between badguys in Halo and Half-life/starcraft. The Covenant guys look like the Protoss zealot and my first thought of seeing the flood in Halo 1 was "OHH crap, headcrabs!" Would I have thought that if they were neon green? Probably not, but by seeing a 4 legged, short, brown creature running and jumping at me, I automatically thought back to crawling around ventilation shafts.

But my biggest gripe with the Halo series its turned into a cash cow and it is obviously in the early stages of "Maddenization" That is from each installment to the next there is usually a nice new set of eye candy, and very few features to make it stand out above the rest and for the most part is the same freaking game. But it still sells copies and Halo has reached the point where they could put out absolute horrid games and people will still buy it. Their foray into RTS on consoles probably won't be successful, yeah the Age of Empires games were great but they will have to pretty much copy the exact model set by the ex-Westwood Studios folks behind CnC3 and Battle for Middle Earth to make a decent rts on the 360.

Personally I think Bungie and M$ ought to create a brand new IP, change the gameplay up a bit and use their hardcore dedicated fanbase to adopt this new IP. If the biggest problem with making a brand new game is getting the audience, I don't see what the problem is because if Bungie gave their fans a chance to eat Master Chiefs "poo" I'm sure plenty would take em up on the offer.

But its Sci Fi - alot of Sci Fi looks alike in general. I could go on and list alot of look-alikes between all the games.

Its just silly to think that Halo, or any of it was taken from other games. Considering Marathon predates all the games that were mentioned - and featured, even in those crappy graphics, similar baddies and such.

I think Halo 3 is a huge upgrade from Halo 2. Plus, I just got done finishing it and the ending pwns.

Yes and no. I think Halo3 is such a step up from Halo2 that its not even funny. While I LOVED Goldeneye, the controls sucked for the most part. I remember that horrible auto centering - could you even get rid of it on that game?

It did spark more interest in FPS for consoles - and what it did it did extremely well. Loved GoldenEye.

^You could, but, it was terrible to do due to the fact that the N64 only had the one thumb-stick.
