Do these things have a name, and what are they for?

Those boards of wood that have been laid directly on the track. At first, I thought they may be for maintanence as to walk on, but then I noticed some were on very steep hills, in which case it would be difficult and pointless to use them for footing. Do they involve blocking the way wind passes through the ties?

Sometimes they are for protection for tracks passing under that one so stray bolts do not land on guests but I do not know why hades has one there.

So you can cross from one side of the catwalks to the other when there is only one side.

Um there is clearly coaster track underneath Hades' drop RRollernotsogod. Gerst, they are for both cases noted above.

Just fyi, we already have a thread about this and search is your friend!

Search rejects me. It doesn't work. And what do you propose I search when I know not the name of what I'm asking of nor what someone may have titled a similar thread. There could be thousands under the name "What are these?"...

Actually the airtime hill is perfectly parallel to the lift but not under it.

^ He speaks of Zues.

They are either for crossing from one side to the other, in cases when catwalks end on either side. Or they are for when another track crosses underneath. In this picture Zues goes under Hades drop.

I always thought they were magnets keeping the coaster on the tracks on a steep drop and time when it would usually fall off.
Trim breaks are your enemy, retracking/smoothing is your friend. I miss b&m floored sit downs. coaster count=39

They're where the maintenance workers make new maintenance workers. Duh
"Careful man, there's a beverage here!"
