Since the subforum from this game is gone, i'll ask it this way:

I recently got urdc and now when building a coaster I fell onto the next thing: What measurement are the heights and stuff? I got now a first drop from 66 something and apparantly i'm getting a speed on it that goes 110...

If the measurements are in imperial that would mean a drop from 66ft would give 110mph speed? Bit awkward, don't ya think?

So yeah, anyone could handover a proper answer?

66 meters gving 110 kph is more plausible

thunder dolphin has a drop of 66.5 meters and a top speed of 130 kph

You can set the measurements to Metric or Imperial in the Options. It's been a while for me but I do believe that it where you can change it. Oh yeah, make sure to choose Disable Prop Collisions so you can place props anywhere you want. You can't make any special prop combinations if you don't do that.

Lol, yup i see it now... I can't remind that I did set it on metric. Probably happened automatic. And thanks for the small setting tips. I've disabled the prop collisions now [:)]

Got some more tips for me in the game to create some proper work?
Like how to move that frickin' free camera, All I can do is rotate the camera. I can't move it closer to the coaster for some more interesting angles... [:D]

No problem, I have tons of tips[:D]:

To toggle the camera angle - Use the number keys above the letters on your keypad:

1 - First Person
2 - Tether View
3 - Cinematic View
4 - Free View (In this view you can zoom in and get some great screenshots for your coasters)
5 - Track View (Note that this is the view you have to test your coaster in, so make sure to test the finished track to avoid prop and support collisions.

On the numeric 10 key pad:

4 - Pan Left
6 - Pan Right
7 - Move Camera Down (I think this one is right, it's been a while)
8 - Zoom
9 - Move Camera Up

The Up/Down/Right/Left arrows will rotate the camera angle when you are in the Build Menu and Free View.

To get a great screenshot - set your view the way you want, press the Tab key to get rid of the menu bar and then press Print Screen. Your image is now copied and you can open up Paint or Photoshop and press Paste and edit it there.

To alter the default track settings - hold the left Ctrl key when you are lifting, lowering or widening a piece of track. It will move by 1 degree instead of the default 5.14 degree setting.

Use the prop's "activation bubble" to gauge prop hits. If the bubble hangs over the track, your prop is too close.

Remember - If props are placed too close to the track, the supports will disappear. This is acceptable in the UR community but visually it is not appealing or realistic. Keep your props away enough from the supports so they will not disappear. **If you use the modules, you can place modded supports where the standard props once were (Check out my Iron Maiden and White Wolf coasters for an example of this).

IMPORTANT - If you do decide to install the modules and you get an Uncaught Non-Terawatt Exception Error (this usually occurs if you are missing a module file neceassry to ride a modded coaster), DO NOT click OK when the game asks you to when you restart it. All of your settings will be lost. To avoid this - go to the Saves folder and delete the "badclose" file. Your game will start normally and the incorrect shutdown prompt will not show.

When testing your coaster in the Build Menu, you can "walk the track" just by pressing the Home key (this will take you back to the dock, the End key will select the last piece of track you placed) and use the scroll wheel on your mouse.

Fantasy Coasters work best in UR when the Friction is turned off but be careful because your train will go much faster.

I have lots more advice if you need it. Just ask me; I've had the complete UR Series for five years, so there is not too much about the games that I don't know. I'll check out your rides too if you want.[:)]
