Baseball Cards

does anyone here collect baseball cards?
i mean as a seirous hobby.

i swear im the only one on earth that does it. i was just curious if anyone else did?

I used to, sold lots and lots of my collection last year. Don't even know why I even bothered with them. Such a waste of money imo

haha, it's fun to me atleast. I've inherited my dads and a collector im friends with said i should be able to get between 6 and 7 thousand on ebay for everything i have right now.

i love the sport, so collecting the players autographs and game used stuff is pretty awesome imo

I still have a few left. I like the game used stuff. I hanged on to some of the stuff I feel will increase in value soon. [:)]

what's some of you're top stuff?

My tops are a few of the old T206 cards from the early 1900's, one of them books around a thousand itself. I also am proud of my Ripken Topps rookie (~200$) bonds bat card, SP jerry rice jersey card, and a bunch of older mays, aaron, mantles, exc. nothing huge in value in the game used category, but i have about a hundred of them.

I have couple game used Ripkens with some made from absolute 05 that contain patch of jersey, jacket, pants and shoe. Got me some topps gallery albert pujols rookies when they first came out, I manage to get them to tripple in value and sold many off, got a pair of those left. and shiz around...

one of my nice-non cards is a sports illustrated issue autographed by Cal Ripken Jr, Billy Ripken, and Cal Ripken Sr. it's pretty sweet. I haven't really invested in the high end products yet, but i will soon.

im putting together the topps turkey red 07 set right now tho. in the end it should book around 200 but im gonna put it away for awile, i've got about 3 more cards to go after i get the ones i have coming in the mail.

nice stuff, i pulled one of hte Dick Perez autographs out of the box loader, #d to 25, aparently he's some famous artist.
