So we've all heard that alot of artists paint to music, and whatever they're listening to has an effect on the way their piece turns out, but what about coasters?

Does the type of music you listen to while you build a coaster have an effect on the way your ride turns out?
(not just the theme and 3ds, but trackwork aswell)

Yes. Amaranth by Nightwish was my inspiration for the new ride. The song is pretty fast paced (ride) and is pretty intese (ride). nd the actual video is Fantasy (ride). So yeah my point ahs been made :)

It's a nice question....I always listen to music when I build a coaster.
It's a good way to get inspired, especially with the electronic underground.

Electronic underground music is perfect for making coasters with. Drum n' Bass is probably the best though. It always makes you think fast.

The exactly feeling[;)]
I even realized that rock or heavy metal are beautiful with coasters, even if they are not my favourite genres.
But I must admit they fit perfectly!

Music and Roller Coaster are <3. Music truly makes up my life. I was listening to Disney Mania when I fixed up Plasma (Keke Palmer, T-Squad! Wooh) which is why I had such a fun time making it.

I've been listening to Second Place Victory by This Day & Age and This Is A Call by Thousand Foot Krutch. Sad songs, which made a brooding effect on my newest ride.

I do not listen to music at all while I'm building a coaster in NL. However I usually do in RCT3. I'll place one of those speaker poles and listen to a custom song. Recently I've been playing a song called "In Between Your Choice" by 16B. It's this ambient electronic song that's pretty calming to listen to. Great for the awful task of making a large building in RCT3.

When I build I usually listen to artists like Panda Bear, Animal Collective, Devendra Banhart, T. Rex and stuff cause it mellows me out and gets my creative juices flowing. That, and it usually makes me want to listen to the whole CD so I'll work on the supports/trackwork longer.

Most of my UR coasters were built to music, so I would say that music really affects how I build my coasters.

I should try listening to a whole Dillinger Escape Plan or PsyOpus album while building an NL coaster. It'll probably come out all spastic and stuff.
