Give me a logical damn reason why it's a sin? "BECUZ DA BIBAL SEZ SO YA!"
"God said so?"
If Jesus died for our sins why does the bible still say gays go to hell no matter what? Because it does.
It doesn't, actually. The quoted verses were slightly out-of-context. I'll ignore the Leviticus verse since all of those Mosaic Covenant laws were explained in Matthew 22:37-40 as depending wholly on two pivotal ones: "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind" and "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
In context, the Romans verse speaks against all who slow down the spread of the gospel through their ungodly acts. The 'due penalty' they received was because they professed their wisdom but still committed ungodliness, not just because they committed sexual acts with other men.
In the Corinthians verse, merely read everything which comes directly after it, and you can see that this is not an exclusive list of people who will be condemned. Verse eleven implies that he is referring to those who have not been made clean through Jesus and the Spirit. In the next verse, he says "all things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable." In the following lines, he clearly condemns sexual immorality, but the overall message isn't "God hates fags" or "Homosexuals will burn."
In fact, in Matthew 12:31, Jesus says "Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven." And then there is the fact that Jesus died for the forgiveness of sins. That means that if homosexuality is a sin, just like any other sin, it can be atoned for through faith.
The Bible does clearly consider homosexuality to be a sin, as sodomy is clearly listed along with adultery, fornication, and idolatry on the lists of 'big sins' from throughout Paul's letters. But it is just that: part of the list.
My point is, although it is clearly against the teachings of Christianity, and is considered to be a sin according to the Bible, that does not mean that all homosexuals will be condemned on the day of judgment. If you follow that logic, that would also mean that everyone who had pre-marital sex or cheated on their spouse will also be condemned. My point is, don't let the sign-waving super-saints convince you that "God hates fags." On the contrary... he loves every person so much that he offered a way to have every sin they ever committed utterly forgotten.
And I wish to apologize for the actions of any other spiteful people who have proclaimed the gospel to you, but have lived a life of hypocracy, hating you for your lifestyle. That is NOT supported by the Bible. According to Matthew 5, Christians are to love both friends and enemies alike. And according to that same reading, Christians are supposed to "let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your father who is in heaven." However, this is an age of hypocracy, to the point that most people can't tell the difference. Understand that this is our fault for not practicing what we preach, and not the fault of the religion. So don't neglect the gospel just because of the hypocrytes.
I highly doubt that anything I have just pointed out will really make a difference, but I just want you to know that your presumptions are not necessarily right. Whatever you choose in your life, I wish you happiness.
And for context, I'm a Christian, but three of my best friends are gay, my girlfriend is agnostic, most of my other friends are atheist, and I'm okay with that. Judging them is not my job. My job is to show them love.
