Why is a Disko not a coaster?

If the intamin halfpipe is considered a coaster, why is the zamperla Disko not?

Coaster definition can be really vague. Choose for yourself if you want to count it or not...Don't rely on websites.

Ask your self three questions, If you answer yes to all three then its a coaster.

1. Does it roll freely and with out powered assistance beyond a lift or a launch?
2. Can it complete its course by coasting?
3. Did you answer yes to the two questions above?

A disko is a powered coaster. So, I count it in the category "powered coasters", which, in my eyes, aren't real coasters so you won't find any of them in my coastercount.

a "Roller Coaster" is just that, as it rolls and coasts. It is something that is given potential energy (either lift or launch) and then let go to realise it's potential energy as kinetic energy via gravity. i.e. it is rolling under it's own weight as affected by gravity until it completes the course.

A powered coaster, technically isn't a roller coaster as it is under constant control, however, there are grey areas because rides like the mack powered mine trains have hills, dips, banked corners ect... which are all attributes of a coaster. But like I say, as it is powered through those elemtents, it technically is not a roller coaster. I would say a Disko falls under the same catgory
