I always thought that Kumali at Flamingo Land was custom... But its not.

Golden Wings in Snowfield

Exact same!

Anyone else think it was custom?

Well Kumali was a custom I suppose because it was designed before the other one. If I remember on another forum there was a difference between the two although I can't remember what it was.

I'll post it later if I find it...

So, is RCDB wrong? If Golden Wings has 2 helixes at the end how come they are the same length?

And a ride could be custom if you change supports. Take greater noe ester at moreys piers, they changed the supports due to a nearby waterslide but other than that eveything else is the same. In order for a ride to custom you need to change one little thing, even the tinyest. If you were to take off padings on an slc for example then it would be custom because there is no other slc without padding.
Trim breaks are your enemy, retracking/smoothing is your friend. I miss b&m floored sit downs. coaster count=39

Or, to be more accurate, the station is where the last pre-station brake is on a normal SLC (between the two tight right 90s.

so if i cut a beam out of troy's structure it's suddenly a different ride? No, to make coasters 'costum' if when it has to be redesigned. So basically the first boomerang was a costum

The standard SLC with extra heliex is classed as a custom, but there must be a few of thoose around. Perhaps they're custom because they were made to the parks specifications?

I allways go with this. If a coasters pops up in a brochure of a manyfactur before it's build, it's not a costum. However, as soon as a coaster is build and after that it appears in te catalog, that one is costum, because it had to be designed for that park and that park alone. Clones of costum coasters aren't automatically costums

Who gives a crap honestly. As long the ride runs well its fine. Some of my favorite rides ever are standard models.
