Well I just recently totaled my 1997 Subaru Outback, And wanted to share photos of the crash. The other car a Honda Odyssey Van was totalled as well, and hit me at 45 mph when I was making a left turn, and it was my fault, I was young and dumb. Please share any story's I really want to hear them, and also pictures. well here's the photos. Also I used Imageshack.us to save on bandwidth.

Back when I was 17, I was mere feet away from totaling my mom's Rav4 on two separate occasions. One was my fault, the other was a moronic move by the other driver.

First time, I was turning left, just as the light was changing from yellow to red, and another car which was turning left across my path from the other street jumped on the green, and we both had to slam on the brakes. We stopped safely, about 5 feet from crashing. He yelled at me like I was an idiot, and I just grinned stupidly and drove away.

Second time, I was turning right on red. Right as I was turning, the car in the left lane decided to change lanes (in the middle of the intersection) and was about two feet from hitting my back end at 50 mph. I'm still gun shy from that. To this day, I simply can't make myself turn right on red into a two-lane street if there's a car in the left lane, because I'm afraid of getting creamed by a dumbass lane-changer.

Sure you didn't just wanted to get rid of that Subaru and did it on purpose?

That sucks about your car. At least there was no one in the passenger side and that no one was hurt badly.

I have been fortunate enough to avoid getting in a fender bender, although their have certainly been a few close calls. *knocks on wood*

Last year during Denver's huge snow storm, I was almost t-boned by 3 other cars at the same time. I was approaching a main road, where the side road slopes down towards the major roadway and it was nothing but black ice. Needless to say, I could not get the car to slow down at all and I went sliding out into the middle of the road. I was so lucky that I slid out into a break in the traffic and managed to avoid hitting or getting hit by anyone. I did a quick little fishtail move with the brakes to get me going in the correct direction and just went on my way. The looks on my girlfriend and her mom while it happened was priceless though [lol][lol]

No I did not do it on purpose lol, and I just recently paid off that car off so I had no payments left on it. Also I did not have full insurance on the car, just liability, so I have to pay for another used car at full price. Also my dad was in the passenger seat, and walked right out of it without any broken limbs just a scratch on his nose, that was it. He was not even that mad at me for doing it, since he knows that my sister had gotten into 3 car accidents before she even got her license, and she drives a pricey 2004 Pontiac Grand Am. I just got another Subaru today it is a 2002 Impreza Outback sport, since all that I will drive is Subaru. I'll Post pics later.

i had a bad accidnet while van driving 2 years ago

(remember us brits drive on the right side of the road. thats the left hand side with the seat on the right)

waiting the other side of a hill to turn right in my works mercades sprinter long wheel base van. car passed so i checked behind and i could see nothing behind me coming over the hill so i pulled over to make the right turn. all i then remember is a screach and a loud bang

i woke up in hospital after being knocked out. a skip lorry had hit the front drivers side of the van where i had been sitting with me being almost stationary and him going at 47mph acording to his tacograph. it had caved in all the right hand of the van, my seat had moved 1ft accross the van trapping my legs under the dash board, the seatbelt was chocking me when the ambulance arived and i had to be lifted out throught the passenger door.

in the collition i was lucky just to be knocked uncontious, break 3 ribs and tear my left angle ligerments becuse i when i had seen the van (i wish i had take pictures) the whole thing was like a bananna. bent in 2 pieces, the right side was caved in, the left side pannels were split, the dirver door was caved in so much that the rim of the door frame was exposed all the way round, the right side was compleatly destroyed and the left looked like somthing had tryed to break out the back of the van.

to this day i still get pain when i work hard in my 3 ribs, pains in my left ancle and im very very weary when turning right

these accidents are not fun and your lucky that you drive the wrong side of the road or else that looks like it could of been nasty
