Vertical construction just started today on Avatar Airbender (Intamin Halfpipe) at Nickelodeon Universe, and construction on the Spongebob Eurofighter should be starting within the next few days. Here's the address for the park's 3 webcams if anyone wants to check them out. Construction should only take a couple of months and hopefully all three of the new rides will be open by March.

Alright now they got one side of the half pipe up over night. I watched them put a piece up last night, and from the looks of it, the rest of the track should be up by tomorrow. This thing is way bigger than I thought it would be, in the second picture you can see that it is not going to be far from the ceiling.

My friends dad is actually part of the construction team going on. The Euro-Fighter is going to bring your head 5 feet from the ceiling [:D]

This Eurofighter is going to be so fugly :/

Big news, there are new LINES in SSRBP's footprint! AND METAL!

Spongebob started going up last night, the track colors actually look pretty cool, better than I would have thought. I'm assuming the trains will be yellow/spongebob themed.

The construction team has been going crazy during the night. The track and supports were actively being moved and put up until about 3:00 am, so it's obvious the crew waits until the guests clear out before they start vertical construction. By tomorrow morning I'm guessing we'll see alot more!

Yeah construction usually starts around 10:30 or 11:00 every night. Go check out the webcam now if you don't have anything better to do, they've already got a couple more supports up.

A Euro-Fighter. [:D][:D]

Those back supports are most likely for the brake-run, and that's the base of the lift that was put in on the left:

Well its good that euro fighters are becoming so popular. Because MOA is so popular im guessing the popularity is going up.

Ok here's all of the progress made last night (1/6-1/7) on the Eurofighter. This thing is really getting crammed into the small space available.

Looks pretty cool already.

Is that the station behind that yellow lift?

That's what it looks like Chris. It would be pretty cool if they wind the queue line through the ride in that small space, but I'm not sure of the layout of the park around the ride and where else they may place it, ect.

Yeah, from what I can tell, the brakes turn ~90 degrees into the station, and there's a turntable somewhere between them to get the cars onto the storage track that's already been put up, similar to Rage: http://www.rcdb.com/ig3573.htm?picture=4

They got a bunch of supports up for the final helix last night.

Does anyone here know why Gerstlauer uses these metal beams along the ground for some of the supports instead of using just concrete footers?
