CoasterCrazy No Limits Tournament 2008 - Round 1 - CoasterCrazy ProSkater
Welcome to the first of five rounds of the annual NoLimitsTournament. In this round you will have to build a spinning coaster in an old and forgotten skatepark. There are few limits, so take your skills to the hightest and land some tricks!
The template is available in the exchange:
http://www.coastercrazy.com/track_excha ... ?tid=13444
Rules:
(DQ when broken)
Minimum lenght is 400m / 1315 ft.
Track type: Spinning (either maurer or gerslauer)
Track and supports must be inside the outer red lines.
You may not create new or modify the skate objects. Color changes are allowed.
Must be single and full circuit, so no dueling/racings or shuttles.
Only 1 lift hill allowed, no launches.
Guidelines:
(Point deduction when broken)
Vert G's : -1.2 / +4.2
Lat G's: -1.5 / +1.5 (will be measured from a random seat with spinning locked)
Keep in mind that keeping things realistic, adding alot of spin and good use of the skate objects will boost your score more than a technically perfect track that isn't fun. Which does not mean you'll get away with Tunneltest and E-stop failures.
Sending In:
Track must be uploaded to the CoasterCrazy.com exchange at the latest at 23:59 PM Jan-31st. Make sure you include the [NLTR1] tag in your track name. Remember that if you do not send in a track or your track get's DQ'd you will be banned for one week.
White = no track received
Green = track received
Red = DQ

If you have any questions regarding this round or the contest, feel free to ask them in this topic.
Q: Can we use the skate objects as supports, or are they untouchable?
A: You can use the stake objects as part of your supports, you may not directly place track on the object, but you are allowed to connect your supports with skate objects, like having support from the track to the top of a ramp.
Q: Because the low no. of sign-ups will you take out one round? Or will this round only kick out two participants.
A: No, basically all the templates are done, and i'm sure you'll all gonna like them. Besides, the more the merrier, right? So, yes, this round only 2 participants will be eliminated.
Q: So inversions are allowed? Just to make sure...
A: Yes, they are, not the most realistic element, but be creative and it might actually work out.
Q: Also, will there be a point deduction if we build something unrealistically tall?
A: Basically, yes. Now, my take on realistic is quite broad. Don't go making a spinning stratacoaster or something, but on the other side, if rcdb.com says the hightest spinner is like xxx ft, it doesn't mean you can build 10ft hight than that.
Q: I take it we cannot make 3d objects? under *cannot create new skate objects* rule? or can we? Are we allowed to build a station out of wood? (or other supports)?
A: That rule only goes for actual skate objects, if you like to build a station out of 3ds or supports, that's fine as long as it's being used as a ramp or something.
Q: Is not sending in a track the same as dropping out?
A: Depens what dropping out means. If you send in a valid track and lose because other tracks are better, you won't get banned.
