Which of this year's Best Picture nominees should win the award?

And if you think a different movie that wasn't nominated deserves it more, which one?

THERE WILL BE BLOOD! Anyone who says otherwise obviously hasn't seen it.

Juno can go slosh around in its pool of faux-indie placenta.

I, myself, am a big fan of "No Country For Old Men". Anton Chigurh is just about the scariest character ever put on film, and the directing and visuals are fantastic as well. My only complaint is that the ending was really confusing, and a bit too non-traditional.

My favorite movie of the year, though, was "Ratatouille". I don't think that it should have been nominated for Best Picture or anything, but it was just plain enjoyable.

I loved "Atonement", "Juno", and "There Will Be Blood" as well. Pretty much the only nominee that I really didn't like was Michael Clayton. It was just way too confusing, and I never thought the plot was that interesting anyway. Sweeney Todd should have gotten the fifth nomination, IMO. Tim Burton's been snubbed way too many times.

I liked Juno, but I really think I Am Legend was an excellent movie and should at least be nominated.

Of those movies I would have to vote for 'No Country for Old Men' but I am still a bit surprised that 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford' did not get nominated. Apparently anything with George Clooney gets nominated these days even though 'Michael Clayton' was terrible. My prediction however is that 'There will be Blood' wins Best Picture.

No Country for Old Men gets my vote. The other notable mention came out during spring: Zodiac. It was a surprisingly good movie and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Micheal Claton was just ok and it was only nominated simply do to the fact that George Clooney was behind it, put any unrecognized, but tremendously talented face in there and it wouldn't have been nominated. I suppose all the nominated movies are like that, but hey.. that's hollywood for you.

I'm also quite glad Sweeny Todd was not nominated. It was decent at best. Definately another wonderful burton/depp collaboration, but, imo, not their best work and definately not one of the best films of year.

Hey come on... There Will Be Blood was by far the best movie but don't put Juno down like that... it was very well written and had an awesome soundtrack and cast.

I love the soundtrack to There Will Be Blood though. Johnny Greenwood is brilliant.

I haven't seen any of these movies yet, but I think "No Country For Old Men" will get the oscar because it's been getting a lot of buzz.
